Key 2A Playoff Matchups Week 15

MHSAA Football Playoffs   Times are critical now. If you lose you are going home. The regular season record is out the window. What your team did last week is out the window. Janet Jackson once asked what have you done for me lately? That's the energy during this time of the year.   <h2>Choctaw Co vs Charleston</h2>   These two teams probably don't like each other after a basketball playoff game earlier in this year. Charleston had to forfeit a win after a player was deemed ineligible two days after the win. It's football season so maybe they have forgotten about that. I'm sure they have. Deondre Riley was the player that was ineligible. You can rest assure that he will bring a lot of vengeance to the football field Friday.   Charleston has a very good offense that knows how to move the ball. They like to get the ball to Dre Riley a lot and let him get loose. He is a very good player on offense that they like to get quick passes to and allow him to use that speed to get up the field. He is one of the most athletic players in the 2024 class. He is going to be able to make some plays Friday. They have to get him going.   On defense Charleston will need to keep their eyes open. This team is loaded on defense. They know how to stop teams from moving the football. [player_tooltip player_id='340740' first='CJ' last='Edwards'] is one of their main leaders on defense. He is a vicious hitter who does not like running backs and quarterbacks. He is going to have a heavy load this week. The Charleston defensive line is going to need to get a nice push upfront. Don't let this Choctaw County offense get going with the mixture of speed and power They have in their backfield.   Choctaw Co has some guys on their offense who will be getting the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='350948' first='Caleb' last='Cunningham'] is the well-known name that most people know. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='108965' first='Antonio' last='Kennedy'] who can get the job done at running back. KJ Cork is their freshman QB who knows how to move the rock. They are going to give Charleston a hard time.   The Charger defense is stacked as well. You will even see Kennedy line up at linebacker. Calvin Roberts is their big boy who holds down the trenches for them. During this game he will be busy. They need to find a way to slow down the speed of this Charleston offense. That's how they will be successful in this game.   <h2>Scott Central vs Philadelphia </h2>   Philadelphia has a nice offense and they are coming into this game looking to wreak havoc. Dee Burnside is a guy that you will hear name get called a lot. He is a playmaker that can get it done for their offense. He is going to have to be making the right reads this week. Things won't be so easy against this defense.   The Philadelphia defense will need to be ready to cover a lot of receivers. They need to be ready to play go man-to-man defense when they can. You can look for them to be trying put a lot of pressure on [player_tooltip player_id='248595' first='Quez' last='Goss'] also known as [player_tooltip player_id='340870' first='Austin' last='Goss'].   [player_tooltip player_id='340748' first='Javieon' last='Butler'] is a big time receiver that Scott Central has on their side. He is going to be stretching the field for this Rebel team. He is a big time player and makes big time plays. He is going to need to get behind this Philadelphia team often for them to win this game. Goss can also do a lot with their read option.   The Scott Central defense needs to be ready to stop a high flying offense. They are going to need to be ready for a lot of speed plays around the edge. They have the defensive line to get it done. They also have a great linebacker core who can fill holes. They don't need to let this team get up and going. They need to shut them down fast in order to stop momentum. Won't be easy winning in Philadelphia.
