Bentonville and Bryant will once again face off in the 7-A State Championship. Much like we did for the 5-A State Championship, we are going to give you guys some prospects to watch out for in the championship game for the 7-A conference.
Bentonville Tigers
CJ Brown CJ Brown 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Bentonville | 2024 State AR -Athlete-2024
If you have not had the opportunity to watch CJ Brown CJ Brown 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Bentonville | 2024 State AR play, this weekend would be a great opportunity to rectify that issue. The Bentonville coaching staff does an excellent job of targeting Brown in the passing game. Over the past few years, Brown has emerged as one of the state’s most explosive playmakers. Brown has the speed to stretch the field vertically and is a wide receiver that the Bryant defense is going to have to account for this weekend.
JT Tomescko JT Tomescko 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Bentonville | 2023 State AR -Defensive Back-2023
On the defensive side of the ball, Tomescko is a defensive back that the opposing team tends to avoid. He has excellent speed and is able to use it well to cover opposing wide receivers. Tomescko does not have any trouble in making tackles and has shown the ability to blitz the quarterback as well this season. Tomescko has always been a defensive back that can pick off a pass and he has done that plenty this season. He is going to be a player to watch out for this weekend.

Bentonville always has a signal caller that makes good decisions with the football and this season has not been any different. Nye is an accurate passer that does a good job connecting with his receivers. Nye does an impressive job of fitting the ball into some tight windows. He is a quarterback that knows when to escape the pocket and has no problem picking up yards on the ground. The Hornets’ defense will need to account for Carter Nye Carter Nye 6'1" | QB Bentonville | 2024 State AR this weekend in what should be a great game.

The Bryant Hornets have one of the most talented defenses in the state of Arkansas this season. One player that has flown a bit under the radar is defensive back Drake Fowler Drake Fowler 6'2" | 160 lbs | DB Bryant | 2024 State AR . Fowler is a player that does an impressive job of making plays on the ball. He is a defensive back that has no trouble tackling the opposing ball carrier. The Bryant defensive back is a player to watch out for this weekend and especially during the 2023 football season.
James Martin James Martin 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Bryant | 2024 State AR -Running Back-2024
James Martin James Martin 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Bryant | 2024 State AR is a prospect that has exploded during the 2022 football season. He is a patient running back that does a good job of allowing his blockers to clear a path before exploding through the hole. Martin has the speed needed to cut it outside and take off down the sideline. Meanwhile, he’s a running back that does not mind running the ball between the tackles. Martin is a running back that the Bentonville defense will have to try and contain this weekend. Keep an eye on Martin folks.

The Bryant Hornets always have talented quarterbacks that throw the football with accuracy. Jordan Walker Jordan Walker 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bryant | 2025 State AR has had a strong season for the Hornets this season. He is not just a quarterback that can hurt you with his arm. Walker is a quarterback that uses his legs well to pick up yardage on the ground. The Bryant offense is just as talented as the Bryant defense and this game has the potential to be a great one this weekend. Keep an eye on Walker, he is a quarterback with the potential to play on Saturdays in the next few seasons.
