The time is here and we have to get prepared for the 6A North Half. Both teams in this game are very familiar with each other. They are division rivals. This should be a game of similar teams. Both teams also have great defenses. Let's take a peak at this game.

Starkville

The first time this game was played [player_tooltip player_id='273258' first='Trey' last='Petty'] was not suited up to play. The Starkville community have reason to believe that will make a big difference this go around. Petty is the kind of guy that knows how to make his presence known. [player_tooltip player_id='139597' first='Braylon' last='Burnside'] and [player_tooltip player_id='340821' first='Jaylon' last='York'] will be some targets that he looks to get the ball to. Petty also does a very great job in the read option game. He is a stud when he is running the ball. Petty is very tough and he packs a mean punch when runs the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='340868' first='CJ' last='Willis'] and Courtland Cooper will be holding it down in the run game. They like to get behind Chris Hayes and make their presence known in that area. If Starkville can be successful in the running game they have a great chance of winning. This team loves to run the ball and keeps team off balance.

Starkville's defense will need to be worried about the run and pass this week. They are going to have their hands heavy with an offense who knows how to score. This won't be a game that will be easy for them. Tupelo has a very balanced offense that will keep the Yellowjacket defense on their toes. Man-to-man coverage could hurt them this week. Tupelo has a quarterback that gets the job done with his arm, but he can be deadly with his legs when he needs to be. Jaeden Hill is a freshman running back that totes the ball for Tupelo. He is another guy that the Starkville defense needs to keep their eyes on.

Tupelo

[player_tooltip player_id='344100' first='Jeremiah' last='Harrell'] is looking to lead this offense to a second victory this year over the Yellowjackets. He needs to have his team ready to face a Starkville squad that is very hungry. Starkville has tendencies to put a lot of pressure on offenses. Jon David Methvin aka JD Methvin is opposite of [player_tooltip player_id='106317' first='Eric' last='Thomas Jr']. They both are very good at putting pressure on quarterbacks. [player_tooltip player_id='340864' first='Daelyn' last='Patton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='139851' first='JQ' last='Witherspoon'] are some guys that the Yellowjacket secondary will need to be worried about. Harrell can be very deadly when he has these guys hitting on all cylinders. Tupelo loves to put up a lot of points, but they also can win close games. It is going to be good to see their offense go up against this Yellowjacket defense.

The Golden Wave defense needs to be ready for a physical Starkville offense. Starkville loves to run the read option. Petty knows how to run these plays well. He is very great at executing on offense. [player_tooltip player_id='413138' first='Tristan' last='Jernigan'] and Shamar Darden are the generals of this defense. They are the guys that will come up and make the hits to get the crowd going. That's what they are going to have to do. This game is being played in Tupelo and they have the advantage. Their defense needs to be ready to capitalize on that.

If Starkville can come out and get an early lead I think they have the defense to hold Tupelo off. However Tupelo is a high flying offense that can put up points quick. Both defenses have a big task. I bet you was looking for me to give a prediction? Nope. May the best team win. This will be a great game.
