The 5-A Conference has an impressive matchup taking place in Springdale this Friday night. We are going to take a look at the teams and some players to keep an eye on this Friday night from Camden Fairview and Shiloh Christian.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Camden Fairview Cardinals</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Camden Fairview Cardinals have won some tough matchups to get to the semi-final round of the playoffs. Martavius Thomas is a dynamic signal caller for the Cardinals. He is a prospect that can hurt you with both his arms and legs. The Camden Fairview offense does an excellent job of forcing the defense to adjust to them. If the Cardinals can establish the run and get the offensive mix going, then this game has the opportunity to be a close game on Friday night. Thomas has the arm strength and accuracy to force opposing defenses to play in deeper coverage. Meanwhile, Thomas is just as dangerous running the football as he is throwing the ball. Thomas does an excellent job of being able to extend plays. Khlabe Smith is a defensive lineman that is always around the football. He makes good use of his speed and does a good job of defeating blocks to get into the opposing backfield. Smith has had a strong 2022 season and I look for that trend to continue into next season. Shiloh Christian does an excellent job of mixing the run with the pass and have put the points up during the playoffs. The versatility that DeJarnatt displays is extremely impressive. He can play all along the defensive line or drop back and play the linebacker spot. DeJarnatt uses his speed well to get to the opposing ball carrier and has no trouble bringing people down behind the line of scrimmage. Williams does a great job of exploding through the rushing lane and picking up the yards on the ground. Meanwhile, he displays plenty of patience in allowing the rushing lane to develop. The young man has a nose for the end zone and will be a player to watch this Friday and in 2023 as well. Williams does well in all phases of the game and I look forward to seeing what he has in store over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
