Jacob Ulrich
Jacob Ulrich 6'5" | 190 lbs | K | 2023
GA

After another fun week of high school football, plenty of players continued to pile it on with the kicks they scored on, and points they were able to rack up for their teams. Each of the players on this list have been an instrumental part of their team's success, and we look forward to seeing how this list continues to progress. Below, you will see our current kick scoring leaders entering into week 8. You'll be interested to see how things are shaping up.
[player_tooltip player_id='463465' first='Jacob' last='Ulrich']- Mill Creek
At the top of this list, Ulrich sits with 48 total points this year, and it should come as no surprise due to the high level of consistency in which he has played with. He has not only been a solid part of finishing successful drives for his team, but within the 6 games he has played in this year, he has already hit 6 field goals, proving his coaching staff, and team trusts him. In addition to this, he has also hit 30 PAT's, and has averaged around 8 points a game.
Landon Vickers- Cairo
Vickers, who currently has 47 points this year, is behind Ulrich by such a small margin. The biggest difference between the two is that Vickers achieved these numbers in 7 games rather than 6. Nevertheless, he has had a high level of success this year, and has a current average of 6.7 points a game. With this, he has proven to be able to make various kicks from multiple levels of the field. This can be seen by the fact that he has hit 8 field goals, and 23 PAT's. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see if he can keep up with the pace of players who are performing to his standard, with one less game under their belt this season.
Isaac Kone- Decatur
So far this season, Kone has only performed in 6 games, but has put up an impressive amount of 46 points this year. These points come with an average of 7.7 points a game. Out of all of these points, we are most impressed by the fact that he has been able to reach this total through 9 field goals, and 19 PAT's. What stands out most on this list is his success with field goals, as he has proven to kick with good range, and a solid arc. If he can continue to do this throughout the rest of the season, we have no doubt he will find himself with a shot at being on this list when it is all said and done.
Ty Roldan- Kennesaw Mountain
Out in Kennesaw Mountain, Ty Roldan, who may not get as much credit as he deserves, has also had a high level of success this year. Roldan has hit 46 points as well for his team, and has the same average of 7.7 points a game. The big difference between Roldan and Kone is the fact that Roldan has done this largely through his 28 PAT's. Not to discredit his success though, as he has also hit 6 great field goals this year, proving that he is versatile, and that his leg can be a consistent piece to his team's success.
Bowen Shirley- Lanier Christian Academy
Just shy of Roldan and Kone, Shirley has made 5th place on this list with 44 points so far this year. This comes with an average of 7.3 points a game, and a total of 35 PAT's, and 3 successful field goals. The only problem with his current total is the fact that it is the same as multiple others on the list beneath him. While Shirley has been a great player this year, consistency in his kicking, and elevating his game will be key to making this list at the end of the year, and beating out he current competition.
