As I continue this series of articles for week 5 highlighting top performances by position each week, I wanted to say there are MANY other quarterbacks who could be put on this list. I am listing the players who's stat line stood out, who people recommended but most importantly, ONLY players who either I watched live or was able to watch highlights from their specific game. For the best chance to be featured, send me your weekly film on twitter. My handle is “@DevinRecord”, please don't have any hard feelings if you weren't included.

The sophomore has been playing very well while leading the Highline HS offense to a hot start. The team has a ton of athletes, which helps Ronan be able to put up the big numbers he does. Week 5 against Sammamish HS, Rasmussen completed 8 of 12 passes for 180 yards and 4 touchdowns. You know it's been a productive day when half of your completions are for touchdowns. Ronan is improving by the week, making throws that other quarterbacks in his class can't make. He's one to watch for multiple years coming.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"Joey Brown","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"6'3u0022","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"2409","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"Nooksack Valley HS","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_1_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Joey is one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch in the entire state. I may be biased as he is a Whatcom County quarterback, but to me he's one of the best in the conference. He's been leading this young Nooksack Valley HS team all season, and doing so in a big way. The Pioneers are a top team in the entire state and are poised for a deep playoff run. Joey is extremely athletic, making plays with his arm and feet almost every game. Week 5 against Meridian, he completed 7 of 12 passes for about 125 yards and a touchdown. He also put up big numbers on the ground, going for about 115 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns on just a handful of rushing attempts. He's a fantastic leader for this team and is improving his game weekly. He could easily be a top quarterback in the state next season.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"Derrik McKinney","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"2023","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"null","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"2409","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"Mt Tahoma HS","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_2_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Derrik put up absolutely absurd numbers during his week 5 game against Battle Ground HS. McKinney has a solid arm, being able to place passes over 20 yards accurately. He uses his legs very well, seeing the open field with ease and avoiding tacklers as he rushes through the levels of the defense for big gains. He completed 13 of his 23 passes for 288 yards and 4 touchdowns. What was more impressive is what he did with his legs. He ran the ball 18 times for 241 yards and 4 more touchdowns. He complied almost 600 yards of total offense to go along with his 8 total touchdowns.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"Dylan Gravelle","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"2023","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"6'0u0022","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"2409","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"Central Valley HS","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_3_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Dylan has had a great year so far for his senior year. He's been mentioned before in this series of articles and deserves another mention despite the loss in week 5. Against Mead, he completed 19 of 34 passes for 244 yards and 1 touchdown. He added in another 27 yards on the ground with another touchdown. Dylan is very agile, as he showed off when he dodged over 4 defenders trying to drag him down in the backfield, he was able to escape for about an 8 yard gain. Dylan can throw the ball deep, with ease. He throws it very casually, but it flies through the air for big time gains. He's someone to watch for the rest of the season.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["87404"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"There's not much else that can be said about Gabarri's game on the field. He is definitely one of, if not the best quarterback in his class and maybe the state. He is outstanding on the field, making throws that other players within the state can't. He could also be the most athletic quarterback in the state, using his legs when needed. In his week 5 game, he was extremely efficient. He completed 15 of 18 for 305 yards passing and 5 touchdowns. He has been dominating for Lincoln all year as they are having one of the best starts to a team this season. They could be a team to watch late in the playoffs.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"edit"} /-->
