Week 4: Top LB Performances

He contributed in many ways and in big ways. He complied over 10 tackles on the night. He showed off his desire to get the ball and his hit power throughout the night. He forced 3 fumbles on the night, helping his defense get many stops on the night. He reads the quarterback well and runs through the blockers to get to the ball carrier frequently. The Juanita senior linebacker was featured during week 2's article and deserves another mention after his week 4 game against Silas HS. He recorded 8 tackles on the night, reading the offense well and getting to the ball carrier quickly. He showed off his pass coverage this game too, catching an interception as the Silas offense was driving to score. His anticipation to the ball is fantastic, he is able to quickly close in on the ball carrier thanks to his speed. His technique on the field is incredibly impressive, not letting many players by him. He shed blockers well, being able to throw guys to the side because of his strength. His patience on the field is impressive, always waiting for the other team to make a decision. His football IQ is through the roof, it seems like Brandon knows what the offensive player is about to do and he is able to counter that and get himself involved in the play. Nolan is a great tackler, being able to wrap up the ball carrier well. He has strong hands, not losing his grip often. He gets into the backfield fast, quickly breaking through the offensive line to be in the involved in the tackle.
