Keon Tucker, Noxapater High School, DB 5-9 160 Class of 2023
Keon Tucker plays like a combination of D.J reed and Marlon Humphrey. Although many may overlook him due to his height Keon still produces like a veteran defensive back. He has shown the ability to shut down receivers, make tackles and create turnovers through sticky coverage. In this season Tucker has recorded 11 Interceptions and is almost on track for 2 interceptions per game. Keon has proven to be a key athlete and would prove to be a great addition to any D2 or D3 team.
Gage Sorey, Hartfield Academy, SS 6-0 180 Class of 2023
Gage Sorey is consistently making plays at a high level. He is a true Ball Hawk aiming to create a turnover with every opportunity possible. Gage’s position and skill level allow for him to be a versatile athlete who can fit the run, lock up a receiver or control a zone. Sorey has done well embracing his ability by intercepting 9 passes for the year and recovering a fumble to give his team more possessions. Sorey has proven that he can play defense at a high level and will continue to be around the ball at every opportunity.
Reed Roberson, Alcorn Central High School, FS 6-0 185 Class of 2023
Reed Robertson does an excellent job playing the free safety role for his team. Roberson has proven to have the ability to cover a wide area of the field while also being able to track the ball carrier to make many tackles in the backfield. From his free safety position, Reed has been able to haul in 5 interceptions for the year and is aiming to intercept more. He has displayed that he can serve as a great shutdown safety for any collegiate team in need of secondary talent.
