On Friday, October 14th, 2022 I witnessed The Cinco Ranch Cougars vs The Paetow Panthers. This season has been tough for Paetow winning the state championships last year in district 5A, but this year they play in district 6A. Also, this week Paetow's offensive coordinator and head coach resigned during week 8 in the high school football season. Despite all this being the case Paetow played as well as they normally did. Cinco Ranch this season has been running up the scoreboard scoring at least 40 points a game. By halftime, the score was tied 7-7 which is the lowest amount of points scored for Cinco Ranch going into the 3rd quarter this season. However, by the end of the game, the score was 24-35 with Cinco Ranch's victory. This was an amazing game, especially with Cinco Ranch's high-power offense. In this article, I'll be discussing Cinco Ranch's offensive standouts.

#12 [player_tooltip player_id='226441' first='Gavin' last='Rutherford'] QB Sr 6'1 195 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id='226441' first='Gavin' last='Rutherford'] is a great captain and quarterback for The Cinco Ranch Cougars. Gavin has a good arm with impressive accuracy. Gavin is also good at scrambling with Paetow's powerful defense he knew he had to get out of danger quickly and while being under pressure can still find a target to complete the pass. I stated last year that “Gavin, Noah, and Seth with these three still being juniors and if they keep improving their basics they can make Cinco Ranch into an unstoppable offensive threat.” And I see nothing wrong with that statement because these three are the cornerstone for Cinco Ranch's offensive firepower. Gavin wrapped up the night by rushing in 3 touchdowns himself and threw for two touchdown passes.

#3 Seth Salverino WR Sr 6'1 190 lbs

Seth Salverino in my honest opinion is one of the most underrated wide receivers in Houston, TX. Seth is tall, extremely fast, and has great hands rarely missing or dropping a pass. Seth wouldn't make it easy for defenders to bring him down and fought for every single yard he could get. Seth is the favorite wide receiver for Cinco Ranch this season always being the main target for passes and averaging a lot of yards per game. Seth wrapped up the game with one touchdown.

#7 Sam McKnight RB Sr 5'11 185 lbs

Sam McKnight had the speed for days. Sam was a massive threat running back even against The Paetow Panther's destructive defense. When Sam ran wide from the outside it was a sight to see. Sam wrapped up the night with 8 carries with 65 rushing yards.

#19 Noah Abboud WR Sr

Noah Abboud consistently always found a way to get open and trip up his defender. Noah has great game sense and intelligent wide receiver. Noah's speed was also impressive if he got space between him and his defender he was taking it to the house. Noah currently has two college offers from East Central University and North Park University. Noah wrapped up the game with one touchdown.
