Continue ReadingToday we look at the top leaders in receiving yards from the Sunshine State Athletic Conference. SSAC is a conference of Private and Charter Schools. SSAC football has produced good players over the years and these prospects need to get some coverage and exposure as well in hopes that they will get the opportunity to move on to the next level. There are a lot of good prospects and sleepers in this conference that I will be featuring and spotlighting from all over the state of Florida.
Jahlan Paul, Westminister Academy c/o 23
5’11 180lbs
Paul is leading the SSAC through four games and has the Westminster Academy Lions off to a 4-0 record. Paul was an honorable mention all state selection last season and is off to a fast start again in 2022. Through four games he has 19 catches for 416 yards, averaging 22 yards per catch with 3 touchdown receptions. He’s averaging 104 yards per game. Also chips in on the defensive side of the ball at defensive back and has registered four tackles and 4 ints!
Strengths:
- Good body control to adjust in the air
- Ability to track the ball
- Versatile and can play on either side of the ball
Lavon Hudson- Central Florida Christian Academy c/o 23
5’11 178lbs
Hudson has been a playmaker for Central Florida Christian this season and has them off to an undefeated start. He’s ranked second in the conference with 18 receptions for 406 yards, averaging 23 yards per catch with six touchdown catches. He’s averaging over 135 yards receiving per game. He plays on both sides of the ball and has an interception and 6 passes defensed. He’s also a good student with a 3.1 GPA.
Strengths:
- Quickness out of his stance
- Playmaker with the ball in his hands showing the ability to make defenders miss and the speed to take it to the house
Sam Thomas- St Edwards High c/o 23
Thomas has been a bright spot for the St Edwards Pirates located in Vero Beach, Florida. He’s currently third in the conference with 8 catches for an outstanding 252 yards, averaging an unbelievable 31 yards per catch with three touchdown receptions. He’s a two-way player that’s also has 11 tackles and one int on the defensive side of the ball. Unfortunately he doesn’t have any Hudl film to evaluate.
Noah Magill- Seven Rivers Christian High c/o 25
6’2 150lbs
Magill is under the radar sophomore Prospect out of Seven Rivers Christian in Lecanto, Florida. He’s off to a fast start in the high-powered passing attack of the Warriors. On the season he’s leading the team with 14 receptions for 249 yards, averaging 18 yards per catch with 6 touchdown receptions. He plays on the defensive side of the ball as well and has registered five tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass defensed. Unfortunately he doesn’t have any Hudl film to evaluate.
