This year he is averaging over 8 yards per carry, has multiple 100+ yards games and finds the endzone on a regular basis. Since he is finding success so early on in his career It would be beneficial to see exactly how he progresses throughout his high school career. One can be certain that his production will only continue to go up from here. His size to begin with is a frame that any defensive coordinator can coach into an elite linebacker while his tackling ability and guard keying are already well developed. Thompson has done an excellent in regards to his gap responsibility, reading blocks and being able to scrape over the top of would be blockers to make a play. This year Thompson is up over 80 tackles shocasing that he can be productive at the next level.
