We have passed the midway point in the football season in the state of Arkansas. Plenty of players have lit up the Friday night skies over the past few weeks. We are going to take a look at a few prospects to pay attention to close out the high school football season. A number of the players we discuss will see action in the playoffs in November.

[player_tooltip player_id='149543' first='Kel' last='Busby']-Quarterback-Pulaski Academy-2024

The Pulaski Academy Bruins always have a signal caller that is accurate and leads the offense in impressive fashion. Busby does a terrific job of leading the Pulaski Academy offense. He has thrown for 1,857 yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Busby has displayed a willingness to use his legs to pick up yardage this season. He has racked up 330 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Busby is a prospect that has had a strong season and I would expect that to continue into the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='149579' first='Dax' last='Goff']-Linebacker-Booneville-2024

With the Booneville Bearcats, you can always count on a strong rushing attack and a stifling defense. [player_tooltip player_id='149579' first='Dax' last='Goff'] is coming off a tremendous 2021 season and has not slowed down a bit in 2022. Last week, Goff had 20 touches that accounted for 380 total yards. He has been a machine on the ground and his work at the linebacker spot is equally impressive. Goff is a prospect to watch out for the rest of the season. Booneville is another team with the potential to make a deep playoff run this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='75137' first='Jabrae' last='Shaw']-Athlete-Joe T. Robinson-2023

[player_tooltip player_id='75137' first='Jabrae' last='Shaw'] has become the ultimate ballhawk lurking in the secondary for Joe T. Robinson. Going into Friday night's action, the Robinson defensive back had picked off eight passes on the season. The eight interceptions are good enough to lead the state. Shaw is having an extremely impressive 2022 football season and I except the solid play to continue into the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='191634' first='Grant' last='Karnes']-Wide Receiver-Greenwood-2025

The Greenwood receiving corps is one of the most talented in the state of Arkansas. The depth the unit has is extremely impressive. [player_tooltip player_id='191634' first='Grant' last='Karnes'] is having an eye-opening season that is catching plenty of attention this season. Going into the bye week, Karnes is leading the state in receiving yards with 766 yards. He is a prospect to keep an eye on over the next few years. He has an impressive ability to get open and he has the speed to create plenty of separation. Watch out for Karnes over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='334925' first='Brycen' last='Hamilton']-Wide Receiver-Hackett-2025

The next few wide receiver classes are some of the most talented the state of Arkansas has seen in some time. Hamilton is another wide receiver that does an impressive job of turning a short gain into an explosive one. Hamilton has the speed to leave opposing defensive backs trailing behind him. He runs smooth routes and does not have an issue adjusting his route running to come back to the quarterback. Hamilton is another 2025 wide receiver to keep an eye on the rest of the season and down the road a bit over the next two years.
