Kamden was a recking crew in the first half before his lower body injury. He showed tremendous speed off the edge and hand combat. On a 3rd down with 10:21 left in the first quarter he recorded a strip sack to add to his handful of hurries and tackles. Laudenslager continues to show why he’s at top prospect in the class of 2025, changing the game from the edge of the defense. After the loss of Laudenslager the Eagles defense was a smaller obstacle for MSJ to overcome.
Mason Robinson Mason Robinson 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL McDonogh | 2023 State MD made his presence felt with 5:47 left in the first with a explosive hit, recording a TFL on a 2nd down. Robinson was a focus of MSJ’s pass protection requiring a double team from the back on passing attempts. With only 3 down linemen Robinson played a huge part in keeping the run game contained.
Cox was the premiere back this week, showcasing his tough downhill running style. With 4 mins left in the first quarter Cox shifted the momentum with an electrifying touchdown run. He broke a tackle, made a quick hesitation move to make the defender miss and raced to the pylon to dive in for the score. Bryce is a very under recruited back, he’s the full package in a back. He passes the eye test by far, he has great size at 5’11 190+lbs, is a north and south physical back, and has breakaway speed to take it the distance.
Highlights
Greg Roman
Greg Roman
Roman made a name for himself this game for sure. In the punt return game, he showed some shiftiness, he knows what t do with the ball in his hands. His first big play was an INT on a double pass attempt with McDonough creeping into the redzone on MSJs 22-yard line. With single high coverage Roman made sure to stay true to his deep third during the play fake and perfectly dropped into the endzone and secured the pick. To show his awareness he checked with his teammates and took a knee in the endzone to put his offense in a manageable position. Later in the game he caught his second INT off of a deflected pass across the middle. From 2 high coverage he secured the ball and had an 18-yard return to put his offense across the 50. Roman also showed his value in the run game filling the gaps and taking on the ball carrier one on one in the hole.
Noah Onkst
Noah Onkst
Onkst was a familiar name by the end of the night. He made tackle after tackle sideline to sideline. Along with a handful of tackles he recorded a sack and a pair of TFL’s to fill his stat line for this game. Noah plays MLB & RB and is explosive on contact. He shoots gaps on defense like he’s the one running the ball. He stands at 6’1 200lbs so he can match up one on one with just about any back they will play this season.
