There are a ton of promising athletes here in Houston I decided to build an offense and defense team built up of these promising athletes. I will be discussing my quarterbacks and running back picks for my offensive team.
QB 1: Cy-Fair Trey Owens Trey Owens 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Cy Fair | 2024 State TX Jr 6’2 190 lbs
Trey Owens Trey Owens 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Cy Fair | 2024 State TX is a spectacular quarterback. In the one game, I saw of his all of Trey’s passes were spot-on with a nice perfect spiral. Trey can accurately throw short, mid, and long ranges. The only passes of Trey’s that weren’t accurate were dropped by the wide receiver or knocked down by the defender. If Trey improved his speed, running, and scrambling skills he will become one of the best quarterbacks not only in his own division but in Houston. Trey is a top college prospect with offers from Baylor University, Texas Tech University, University of Tulsa, University of Houston, University of Texas San Antonio, and Rice University. Trey’s stats currently this season for 8 games are 130/190 passes completed, 23 touchdown passes thrown, and ran one touchdown in himself.
QB 2: Cy-Ranch Blake Baker Blake Baker 6'5" | 195 lbs | QB Cypress Ranch | 2023 State TX Sr 6’5 195 lbs
Blake Baker Blake Baker 6'5" | 195 lbs | QB Cypress Ranch | 2023 State TX is one of the best quarterbacks I have seen this season. Blake had great protection in his offensive line allowing him to stay in the pocket and just focus on throwing the ball the best he could. Blake throws a perfect spiral for every pass brilliantly passing the ball to his wide receivers and giving them the best chance to score. However, throwing and passing isn’t the only thing Blake can do also an efficient scrambler finding the perfect path to run through and getting enough yards for a 1st down or even a touchdown. Blake currently has one offer from the new names Houston Christian University, but I’m sure he’ll have many more by the end of the season. Blake’s stats currently this season for 5 games are 75/127 passes completed, 10 touchdown passes thrown and ran in two touchdowns himself.
RB 1: Katy Tigers Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX Sr 5’8 170 lbs
Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX is one of the most notorious running backs in all of Texas. Seth is the most dependable and most valued player on The Katy Tigers roster. Once the ball touches Seth’s hands he takes off and will be left untouched to the end zone. Seth is also difficult to tackle showcasing how important the weight room is by powering through defenders. Seth’s stats currently this season in 7 games are 125 carries with 1,030 rushing yards and scored 14 touchdowns.
RB 2: Kinkaid Micah Bell Micah Bell 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB The Kinkaid | 2023 State TX Sr 5’11 170 lbs
Micah Bell Micah Bell 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB The Kinkaid | 2023 State TX is the backbone and foundation of Kinkaid High School. Micah is ranked #27 in the state and #113 in the nation for a reason. Micah is just a pure athlete he plays on both sides of the ball on offense as a running back and quarterback and on defense as a cornerback and safety. Micah is strong, fast, quick, and a very hard hitter. Micah was able to seamlessly transition between positions playing aggressively on both offense and defense. Out of all positions Micah plays, I decided to pick Micah for my offense as the running back because I think he plays that position the best. Micah’s stats currently this season as a running back in 9 games are 169 carries with 1,045 rushing yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
