The motor of the Hilton Head offense this year,

came up big again in an enormous game to power the Seahawks to their first region win in shutout fashion over Colleton County. Timko used his quick and agile feet early and often Friday, rushing for 158 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. The sophomore back has tremendous balance and strength to ward off tackles and is also a potent weapon catching passes out of the backfield. Expect Timko to be the driving force of the Seahawk offense down the stretch in Region 7-4A play.
Zion Dobson Zion Dobson 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Hampton County | 2024 State SC didn’t get much work on Friday night, but he came up big when his name was called upon for a key 30-7 victory at Edisto. The terrific Red Devil running back converted 14 carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns to help lead his squad against a Cougar defense that made his team work to find the end zone. Dobson continues to be a lethal playmaker, especially with his speed to the outside and can make defenses pay when left alone on the open field. The offense will go as Dobson goes in the final weeks of the season, and he and the Red Devils will be in for a big test this week against an impressive 7-0 Woodland squad.
Highlights
It was a banner week for Hilton Head defensive lineman Chris Marable Chris Marable 6’4″ | 280 lbs | DL Hilton Head | 2023 State SC , shutting out Colleton County on Friday and earning a coveted invitation to the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Sunday. It’s well-deserved for Marable, who has emerged as one of the most complete senior linemen in the state. His strength and ferociousness in the trenches have been instrumental in stuffing the run and he has also displayed his hustle on the pass rush. Marable only made five tackles with three for loss on Friday, but his presence on the line made a sizable difference in every series to help put up the shutout. The Wake Forest commit is shining in his senior year and will be critical for the success of a Seahawk defense with the potential to make some noise over the rest of region play.
Wushi Ravenel Wushi Ravenel 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR James Island | 2024 State SC has emerged as a breakout star at wide receiver at James Island, and he kept on rolling Friday, catching four passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. An explosive wideout with the quickness and route running to stretch the defense, Ravenel has solid hands and the acceleration to burn past tacklers after the catch. The leading weapon for a James Island offense averaging 43 points per game, Ravenel will be a player down the stretch to watch as he eyes a Region 7-4A title with the Trojans.
Alonzo Allen
Alonzo Allen
The Whale Branch Warriors will have to rely on their defense down the stretch, and Alonzo Allen has become an irreplaceable sparkplug at linebacker. Allen delivered a beastly performance in Friday’s loss to Estill, racking up a cool 17 tackles including a sack. He’s just a sophomore, but he’s already becoming a leader on this unit with his impeccable abilities to diagnose plays and fly to the football. Keep an eye on Allen who could be a future star for Jerry Hatcher’s Warriors in the coming years.
