Lake Worth is 7-1 on the season and the Bullfrogs sit atop District 6-4A DI at 5-0, coming off a dominating 42-6 victory over Fort Worth Western Hills. We take a look at several Marc D’ Men who set the tone for the Bullfrogs.
Damion Moore
Running Back
5’10 160
Class of 2023
Offers/Interest: Texas Wesleyan, Texas A&M Commerce
Moore is explosive, has great short area quickness, can change direction quickly and has the speed to take a short pass or run the distance. Damion is a weapon in the passing game for the Bullfrogs. He scored three touchdowns vs Western Hills, including a nice option route out of the backfield beating a Cougar linebacker in coverage. Moore sprinted to the end zone past the defense. Damion has the skills that coaches covet at the next level and that makes him one of the Marc D’ Men for the Bullfrogs.
Matthew Welch
Offensive Line
6’4 285
Class of 2023
Offers/Interest: Committed to Texas A&M Commerce
Welch plays with a mean streak, he is physical at the point of attack, he has a strong punch and plays with great leverage. Matthew is a leader on the Bullfrog offensive line and helped clear a path for Damion Moore’s two rushing touchdowns. Welch has the size and frame to continue to add bulk once he gets on campus at the next level. His stellar play made him one of the Marc D’ Men for Lake Worth against Western Hills. Welch committed to Texas A&M Commerce over the weekend.
Hector Garcia
Offensive Line
6’1 325
Class of 2023
Garcia is a road grader, displays great leverage, he has a strong punch and controls his opponent easily with great technique. Hector contributed to two Bullfrog rushing touchdowns during a dominate performance against Western Hills 42-6. Garcia has the skill set combined with his physical play that college programs seek out in offensive linemen. Hector is one of the Marc D’ Men up front for Lake Worth.
Hornel Cloubou
Defensive End
6’5 215
Class of 2023
Offers/ Interest: Eastern New Mexico. Midwestern State, Texas A&M Commerce
Cloubou has great length, uses his violent hands well, he has a great burst off the line of scrimmage, and his great closing speed makes him a menace when rushing the passer. Hornel was disruptive against Western Hills. Several sacks, multiple quarterback pressures to go along with multiple tackles for loss, were examples of the impact that Cloubou has off the edge. Hornel fits the prototype for edge rushers and more schools should be flocking to Lake Worth to get eyes on him. He fits the profile of Marc D’ Men and was unlockable on Friday night vs Western Hills.
Bryan Neal
Defensive End
6’3 230
Class of 2023
Offers/ Interest: Stephen F. Austin, Midwestern State, Texas A&M Commerce
Neal has an explosive first step, runs the arc well, he has great bend and plays fast. He has a long athletic frame, plays with great leverage and has a high motor. Bryan sets the edge well for Lake Worth and he has the closing speed to make plays from the backside. Neal showed off his versatility by lining up on offense as a wide out and made key blocks on two touchdown runs by Damion Moore. Bryan is a force off the edge and his ability to collapse the pocket allowed him to apply constant pressure against Western Hills. Neal has the skill set that Marc D’ Men possess and will be a key cog in the defensive attack for the Bullfrogs as the head to the playoffs.
