Jacob has been phenomenal for the Admirals this season. As a quarterback, he has thrown for over 1,200 yards and will most likely end the season with near or over 2,000 yards. If he can keep up his completion rate and perhaps cash in for more touchdowns Jacob’s stats would be complete. Nevertheless, Jacob has proven that he can compete at a high level and lead his team to a winning season. He would be a great addition as an additional cannon for pass heavy colligate teams.
Landon Pettis, OLB 5-10 190 Class of 2024
Landon Pettis has proven himself to be a difference-maker when he is on the field. This can be seen in the 65 tackles he’s collected this season with more than half of the tackles being solo one-on-one tackles. He has made himself a cornerstone to the team and the defense as they pursue a state championship. This being his junior year one can expect him to keep improving and display just how elite of an athlete he is. It can be said that he is far from reaching his ceiling and has the potential to be a D1 athlete.
Jaiquon Payton, SS 5-10 165 Class of 2024
Jaiquon is exactly the type of athlete one would want playing the strong or free safety role. He has shown excellent ability to shut down passing lanes as well as fly downhill and make tackles near the line of scrimmage. His kind of versatility is just what many defensive coordinators hope for as it expands how they can employ such an athlete. If Payton keeps performing as he has this season with already 52 tackles he is sure to earn himself the distinction of a great prospect.
