Jonaz Walton Jonaz Walton 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Central | 2026 State GA – Central
One of the top young running backs not only in West Georgia, but across the state, the Carrollton native has dominated this year in his first season at the high school level. The 5-foot-9 190-pounder breaks a ton of tackles and shows impressive breakaway speed. He sees the field well for his age and does a great job of following his blocks and accelerating through the line of scrimmage. He’s a D1-caliber back already who owns an impressive offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. He’s been excellent all season long and has just one game where he didn’t dominate the opposing defense. He’s rushed for at least 115 yards in six games this season with games of 295 yards, 243 yards, 186 yards, and 129 yards. He’s found the end-zone on a consistent basis, scoring 14 total touchdowns this season. In total, Walton has rushed 106 times for 1,134 yards with those 14 scores.
Tamari Curry – Washington-Wilkes
It’s never easy to carry the load as a freshman, but Curry has done an excellent job so far this season. He’s a natural runner who is dangerous in the open field. His best football is still way ahead of him and that should scare plenty of defenses in the area. He shows quick feet, burst, and the ability to make defenders miss down the field. He’s rushed for over 70 yards in five games this season, giving Washington-Wilkes a durable, dependable freshman who can carry the ball and make plays. His best game of the year came against a tough Aquinas team where he rushed just 14 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He had another impressive games against Warren County where he rushed for 139 yards and one more touchdown. So far, Curry has rushed 107 times for 664 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Ty Cummings – West Laurens
In the small town of Dexter is where you’ll find a new breakout running back in Middle Georgia in sensational freshman, Ty Cummings. A big-play waiting to happen, Cummings has played better and better as the season moves long and will be a dynamic playmaker for West Laurens for the next several years. An explosive runner with the ability to break tackles and fly by defenders, Cummings hasn’t played like your average freshman this year. He’s had some big games recently with rushing games of 225 yards, 136 yards, and. 105 yards. He’s an easy 2026 prospect to know and will be a name to keep an eye on in Middle Georgia moving forward. Through his first six games, Cummings has rushed a total of 107 times for 624 yards and three touchdowns.
