Hymas has been quietly putting together a very nice season and has proved that he can also beat teams with his legs as he shows good pocket awareness, escapability and some open field speed/twitch when approaching defenders. Downfield, he fits the ball into tight windows and puts nice air on the deep ball over the top. A D-III+ player at the next level, he should gather college interest in the coming months. He threw for 100+ yards and two touchdowns over the weekend while having a 75% completion percentage on the night.
George is one of the top linebackers in the 2024 class within Idaho, and should fit nicely at either inside backer or as a sam at the next level. He is very athletic, flashes closing/open field speed while taking good angles to ball carriers and showing a quick play diagnosis and high football IQ. Able to apply pressure up the middle, he is a sound tackler that plays with a low hat, shocks blockers and violently escapes while squaring up with bigger ball carriers and driving his feet through contact. Always around the ball, he will draw college attention soon especially as he grows and packs on more weight to his frame.
Highlights
Rushton is one of the top power backs across the region and is a vertical runner that loves contact and gains the tough yards consistently. So far this season, he has been churning out yards in every game and has been one of the top rushers across the state with his natural forward lean and physical running style. Last Friday night, he erupted for 200+ yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground, proving that he is one of the hardest runners to bring down across the region.
Pettit is one of the best kept secrets across Idaho and is a very impressive kid that can sling it all over the field and also does tons of damage with his legs as well. Having a strong frame/build and good lower body strength, he shows a big time arm that can throw across his body and into tight windows downfield on in-breaking and outbreaking routes. He stays patient in the pocket with his eyes downfield and throws the ball where his receivers can run underneath it or make a play over the top with nice placement. On the run, he has deceptive speed in the open field while able to make people miss and runs hard when needed. A no brainer next level player, he will without a doubt be playing on Saturdays next season. This week, he scored four touchdowns, two on the ground and two through the air and throwing for 118 yards.
Johnson is one of the more athletic and physical ’24 lineman across the state and is quick out of his stance with a strong punch and climb to the next level. He establishes immediate inside hand placement with a wide strong base through out his blocks and shows good quickness and bend out of his stance when pulling. Once engaged, he finishes blocks with toughness and aggression and is a patient pass blocker that can post for counters and washes out speed rushers with an inside punch and quick feet when moving back/laterally.
