The Riverhawks are led by the WPIAL’s leading passer in UPenn commit QB Cadin Olsen Cadin Olsen 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB Armstrong | 2023 State PA . Highlands has a division one Defensive End in Daniel Long that will put pressure on Armstrong & Olsen. It should be no surprise that Cadin’s favorite target is his younger brother WR/CB Ian Olsen, who averages a whopping 25.7 yds per catch. Besides Ian, The Riverhawks have gotten a ton of offensive production from Wide Receivers Isaiah Brown Isaiah Brown 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Armstrong | 2024 State PA & Kyan Kline. Highlands’ starting signal caller Chandler Thimons Chandler Thimons 6'4" | 225 lbs | QB Highlands | 2023 State PA has thrown for over 600 yds, but does the most damage at LB for the Golden Rams. Ballhawking junior Free Safety Aaran Randolph, will be Highlands’ secret weapon on the backend versus Olsen & company. The Golden Rams’ biggest offensive contributor is RB Luke Bombalski Luke Bombalski 5'10" | LB Highlands | 2024 State PA whose rushed for over 800 yds in 22′. Rushing yardage won’t come easy versus Armstrong’s defensive leaders OLB Isaiah Brown Isaiah Brown 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Armstrong | 2024 State PA , LB Dozick Zablocki Dozick Zablocki 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Armstrong | 2023 State PA , & senior DE Owen Kamer.
Olson is the leading passer in the WPIAL, he’s completed 130/206 passes for 2,034 yds, 28 TDs & 10 Ints. He committed to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in July. Cadin’s a dual-threat QB with D1 size & arm strength. Olson knows when to throw the ball with touch or with power. Cadin possesses good QB mechanics in general, especially when he’s throwing off of play action. His release point is good, plus he stands tall & steps into his throws. Armstrong’s senior signal caller can make all the necessary throws from the pocket. Olson’s skilled at going through his progressions & the placement on his passes.
Highlights
Ian Olsen
Ian Olsen
Ian’s a super sophomore for Armstrong on the gridiron. The Riverhawk’s Sophomore wide out has 24 receptions for 616 yds, & 4 TDs thus far. The underclassman runs good routes, & he possesses strong hands on receptions. He uses his body well hauling in receptions. Ian is physical and not afraid to tackle in run support. He possesses good ball skills, exhibited on his interception & also his receptions. Olsen is definitely one of the better underclassmen specialists I’ve seen in the WPIAL.
Isaiah has D1 capabilities & leadership qualities. The junior athlete plays a very strong and physical brand of football. Brown isn’t afraid to mix it up as he defeats blockers effortlessly in pursuit. Defense is where I like him the most for college play. Isaiah displays a high level of athletic ability when he’s playing WR. He displayed the skillset that’s necessary to be a contributor on a D1 special teams unit. The 24′ prospect has good speed, size & strength at 6’2 200 pounds for OLB. Brown has been getting FBS & FCS looks on the recruiting trail.
Owen Kamer
Owen Kamer
Kamer is a senior prospect with a lot of potential. Right away on film Owen’s effort & motor stand out. The senior DE is relentless in pursuit & maintains good speed throughout. The RiverHawk’s senior DE fires out fast & under control. His upper body strength was displayed on tape, putting pulling Offensive Guards on their backs at the collision point. Kamer is also the starting Offensive Tackle and has good footwork pass setting in pass protection.
Kyan Kline
Kyan Kline
Kyan is a playmaker with substantial time remaining for development. The sophomore athlete looked sharp at DB versus the defending state champs, Aliquippa. Kline has a good football IQ, and he’s sharp at play recognition in the run game. Armstrong’s sophomore prospect is adequate at open field one on one tackling. Kline possesses good speed & mobility in the slot. He’s capable of scoring on screens or deep seam routes. Kyan’s speed & skillset puts a tremendous amount of pressure on any secondary.
Armstrong’s senior LB is a very productive player for the Riverhawks. Dozick has a great motor & plays with a low center of gravity. He’s a good zone dropper & open field tackler. Zablocki moves well in general, but he’s especially agile laterally from his linebacker position. He’s talented at beating blockers at the point of attack with speed. The 2023 prospect is an explosive tackler inside or outside of the box.
Long is a D1 athlete & Olsen’s biggest problem come Friday night. The Senior DE has offers from FCS Presbyterian, Sacred Heart, D2 Cal, Pa & Slippery Rock. Long has been on a tear causing havoc for opposing QBs this year. He’s violent, strong, athletic and doesn’t relent in run pursuit or pass rushing. Daniel seems to be getting better as the 2022 season progresses. The division one product had 4 sacks in a Woodland Hills victory a couple weeks ago.
Luke is another athlete for Highlands that does his damage on both sides of the ball. The compact RB has over 800 yds rushing this season. Bombalski will be relied upon to gain the hard fought yards inside the box. Bombalski’s also integral for the Golden Rams on defense at LB. The junior prospect plays with great effort & instincts on defense.
Chandler’s a big TE/LB prospect that’s also Highlands’ starting QB. Thimon’s mobile, agile & experienced on the offensive & defensive side of the ball. The 6’4 225 pounder won’t be easy to throw around at Linebacker in zone coverage. He’s a smart player that’s big enough to get physical with Offensive Linemen dispatched to block him. The senior Linebacker slash Quarterback is 36/81 for 627 yds, 9 TDs & 1 Int for the season.
Aaran Randolph
Aaran Randolph
Randolph is the most dynamic player on Highland’s undefeated squad. The 24′ athlete has great speed, leaping ability, elusiveness, ball skills and playmaking ability. Aaran is a ball hawk at FS that will have his hands full versus the WPIAL’s leading passer, UPenn commit Cadin Olsen Cadin Olsen 6’5″ | 225 lbs | QB Armstrong | 2023 State PA . Randolph will be utilized at wildcat QB, Wide Receiver & kick returner for the Golden Rams. He’s capable of breaking a game open at anytime on offense or defense.
