Lone Peak Knights
The Knights trailed the Titans early, but with their season on the ropes, the Lone Peak defense stepped up. After allowing 17 points to Syracuse in the first half, the Knights shut out the Titans in the second. The Lone Peak defense also stepped up with a huge safety in the third quarter that ended up being the only points scored in the period. Lone Peak would also get an interception and block a punt to help them seal the 22-17 win. Lone Peak receiver Shaun Blanton shined with two touchdowns to help the Knights get the win.
Bingham Miners
The Pleasant Grove Vikings led 20-14 with under six minutes to play in the third quarter. Bingham had trailed for most of the game, but with their season on the line, they stepped up. Running back Havea Fotu scored on a long run to put the Miners up one heading into the fourth quarter. From then on, Bingham looked like the team that earned a top 3 seed. The Miner’s defense shut out the Vikings in the fourth while quarterback Dallen Martinez led a late drive and punched it in himself to secure the 28-20 win.
Davis Darts
The Darts and Silverwolves put on a show at Davis high. The two teams combined to score over 100 points and combined for 52 points in the second quarter alone. In the end, the difference was the first and third quarters, with the Darts out-scoring Riverton a combined 21-0. The Silverwolves would come on strong in the 4th with 19 points. But the last of Davis running back Josh Barker’s three touchdowns helped the Darts hold on for the 55-50 win.
American Fork Caveman
The last time we saw American Fork, they got shut out offensively, but quarterback Lincoln Jackson and the Caveman offense made sure that didn’t happen in their first playoff game. Jackson got receivers Jace Hall,
