Check out the 6 2025 prospects from Class A to Class D2:
Kyle Cox Kyle Cox 160 lbs | QB Sandhills/Thedford | 2025 State NE | QB/DB | Sandhills/Thedford | 5’10” 160 lbs
We’re kicking this off with an 8-man QB that has been putting up big numbers all season. Sandhills/Thedford QB/DB Kyle Cox Kyle Cox 160 lbs | QB Sandhills/Thedford | 2025 State NE had a huge breakout season in year 2 in which he improved in practically every category. The ST Knight’s QB has completed 77 of 134 attempts for 1,111 passing yards and 22 touchdown passes to 7 interceptions. Kyle has a live arm that can really push the ball downfield, and he has great mobility in the pocket to extend the play. One thing that really stood out about Kyle’s game was his ball placement and touch on the ball. He has some nice throws that he dropped right in the bucket, and some tough outside shoulder throws that he nailed. There is still room to grow and improve, but so far Kyle and the Knight’s passing game has been very impressive. On top of his passing, Kyle is also a threat on the ground with 447 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. He has nice twitch in the open field and can usually make some defenders miss for a nice gain. His football IQ also transfers well to the defensive side of the ball where Kyle has picked off 5 passes to go with his 46 tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack. Only a sophomore, Kyle could dominate 8-man ball for the next few years.
Isaac Pamaran Isaac Pamaran 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | WR/DB | Papillion-La Vista | 5’9″ 175 lbs
One of the best-kept secrets of the 2025 class is Papillion-La Vista’s two-way standout Isaac Pamaran Isaac Pamaran 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE . Pamaran has been a consistent presence on the Monarch defense and has begun to break out on the offense as well. On the season, Isaac has hauled in 13 receptions for 318 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 100-yard games to date. Pamaran has done a lot of his damage while operating in the slot. Here he does a great job finding the soft zones in coverage and can use a DBs leverage against them to create separation. He had a great touchdown reception against Burke in which he gains momentum on the motion, before building up his speed vertically and splitting the safeties on his way to a touchdown. Isaac has also been a playmaker on defense, where he has accumulated 61 tackles, a tackle for loss, 2 interceptions, a pass defense, and a fumble recovery. We’re only seeing the start of how great Isaac can be.
Kyler Lauridsen Kyler Lauridsen 5'11" | 170 lbs | LB Bennington | 2025 State NE | OLB | Bennington | 5’9″ 145 lbs
The Badger mascot could not be more fitting for sophomore OLB Kyler Lauridsen Kyler Lauridsen 5'11" | 170 lbs | LB Bennington | 2025 State NE . Kyler is a smart, tough, physical player that is on 100 throughout the entire game. Lauridsen has burst onto the scene with 71 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 interceptions in 8 games. Kyler is a versatile player that can do anything from sniffing out the run to being locked up man-to-man with a receiver. He is fluid in coverage, flipping his hips and changing directions with ease, and aggressive with his hands at the catch point. You can also line up Kyler as a traditional OLB where he can apply pressure on the QB or make plays against the run. Despite having a smaller frame, Kyler can deliver some big hits and does a great job getting low and following through with his tackles. Kyler is a high-motor, intense player who you can move around the defense, knowing he can make a play from wherever.
Landon Kelley Landon Kelley 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE | DB/WR | Lincoln Southwest | 5’9″ 150 lbs
Lincoln Southwest’s CB Landon Kelley Landon Kelley 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE could see himself playing a bit more receiver in the upcoming years, but this year he has done a great job opposite senior corner Tairen Rahe Tairen Rahe 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2023 State NE . Landon is a very impressive young prospect that I think people need to get acquainted with sooner rather than later. Kelley shows nice fluidity in his hips and footwork, with the speed to keep up step-for-step with receivers and close gaps quickly. He does not shy away from getting physical with bigger receivers and does a great job keeping his hands active to break up passes. It seems like the sophomore DB has garnered respect from opposing QBs as he didn’t see many targets to his covered receiver, yet still managed to rack up 16 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions. Very interesting prospect here!
Becker Pohlman Becker Pohlman 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Stanton | 2025 State NE | RB/LB | Stanton | 5’11” 195 lbs
Another 8-man stud, RB/LB Becker Pohlman Becker Pohlman 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Stanton | 2025 State NE has been a “workhorse” for the Mustangs high powered rushing attack. Pohlman has fought and powered his way to 1,149 rushing yards with 18 touchdowns on the ground. Becker has a big, strong frame already as a sophomore, and he uses it very well on the field to deliver punishment. He is very tough to tackle, especially when he gets some momentum going and decides to lower the pads. Another thing about Becker’s running that stood out was how well he sees the field and his quick twitch to leave defenders stunned. After he hits his move, Becker can turn on the jets and outrun everyone to the endzone. On defense, he loves to deliver some big hits and can get to the ball quickly, with 50 tackles on the season. The Stanton Mustangs have been a force this season, with young Becker Pohlman Becker Pohlman 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Stanton | 2025 State NE leading the charge on offense.
Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE | DL | Millard South | 6’3″ 200 lbs
The Millard South defensive line has been playing like their hair is on fire in recent weeks, with sophomore DL Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE emerging as a potential star for the Patriots. Pugh really caught my eye while I was in attendance for the Lincoln East game, where he was dominating his way into the backfield. So far this season, Adam has racked up 20 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks for the Patriot’s defense. He has a taller, lengthier frame with long arms and a quick first step that help him get separation at the LOS. He has a nice bag of moves and violent hands that he can use to disengage from his blocks. Another thing that stands out about Adam is his motor and how he doesn’t give up on plays. He made several tackles in which he came flying in from the backside of the play and was able to manage a stop. Watch out for Adam and this defense as we head into the playoffs.
