3A Playoffs: 2nd Round Match Up and Predictions

Let's take a look at the following games and who I think will get the " W" and move on to play at Southern Utah University in the semifinals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>1 Juab vs 8 Manti</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Manti Templars handled business last week to advance to the 2nd round against the Juab Wasp. The Wasp will be led by their QB Alex Jackson who had a productive season throwing for 3,337 passing yards and 45 TDs. He'll be surrounded with some good weapons like running backs Wesley Nielson and Ryker Richards along with wide receivers Chase Ingram and Payton Park. They'll have to go against a tough defense led by linebacker Dallin Sweat, who had a 100 plus tackling season. Other defensive players to watch for the Templars are linebackers Bo Stevens and Kelan Layton and defensive lineman Sione Castro and Troy Madsen. The Templar's offense will have their running back Larson Pogroszewski who had 1,418 rushing yards and wide receiver <a href="https://sports.deseret.com/high-school/football/athlete/reggie-frischknecht/246247">Reggie Frischknecht</a> to go up against a defense that has defensive linemen Keagan Hall and Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1561946' first='Porter' last='Jackson']. The Wildcats will have their Quarterback <a href="https://sports.deseret.com/high-school/football/athlete/reggie-hafen/262897">Reggie Hafen</a> along with Running Back <a href="https://sports.deseret.com/high-school/football/athlete/emery-thorson/291854">Emery Thorso</a>n and Tight End <a href="https://sports.deseret.com/high-school/football/athlete/cort-moon/245351">Cort Moon</a> to get the offense going. The Eagle's offense will be lead by Running Back Lukifanga Kaumatule (who's has been productive player on both sides of the ball) and Wide Receiver Carlos Calate to get the offense going. They will go up against a Trojan's defense that has Defensive linemen Ty Wheeler and Linebackers Jarron Ball and Rhett Nye. The Trojan's offense will lead by Quarterback Nick Despain and Wide Receiver Gavin Turner with Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='406953' first='Tyler' last='Buckway'] holding it down at the line of scrimmage. They go up against a Eagles defense that has Defensive linemen Dalan Kennedy and Colby Bryant with Linebacker Kole Fox to hold it down in the trenches. Grantsvilles offense will have Quarterback Hunter Bell and Wide Receiver Dillen Richardson to get things going while offensive linemen Damien Nelson holds it down at the line of scrimmage.
