Newcombe is one of the top ranked players in the state regardless of position. He projects as a DB at the major D1 level and is a lockdown corner for Casteel but can also use his dynamic athleticism to make plays on the offensive side of the ball. Smooth in his transition and fluid in the hips to match movement and use his change of direction to break on the ball. Great all around game speed, can use his long speed to cover vertically or his short area burst to recover and close space at the short/intermediate level. Advanced route recognition to anticipate and put himself in position to make a play at the catch point. Plus ball skills, good hand-eye coordination and timing to effectively play the ball in the air. Strong family genes, his dad played at Nebraska and brother currently plays at UCLA. Currently holds 17 total offers that includes the majority of PAC12 programs.
Gibson is an electric athlete with top tier speed and fluidity. Savvy natural coverage ability and instincts to matchup one on one in press man and cover all areas of the field. He’s a physical and aggressive corner that plays with active hands and great reactionary quickness to maintain positional leverage throughout the play. Well coached with good footwork and technique he plays with good balance and is never out of control. Strong ball judgement skills to track and adjust to flight/trajectory. Confident and reliable open field tackler that isn’t afraid of contact and is strong at the POA. Holds 13 total offers from a variety of D1 programs including Oregon, Arizona, ASU, Nebraska, and Washington but possesses good upside to add more high level schools.
Aidoo is a physical and aggressive safety prospect with ideal length, frame, and growth potential. He’s got great range and speed to cover sideline to sideline. Good eye discipline and key/play diagnosis, has a natural feel and awareness for the position to read and react. Plus change of direction and transition, can plant and drive out of his back pedal showing a good burst to close. Excellent in run support, he’s able to see run fits and fills in a hurry. A violent striker that is strong at the POA coming downhill and delivering solid contact with good leverage and pad level. Reliable one on one open field tackler. Collected four offers this spring first from Idaho State then followed by Northern Arizona, Washington State, and San Diego State. 54 total tackles this season thus far with two interceptions.
Worthy is an explosive natural athlete with a versatile skillset to be a playmaker on both sides of the ball at Centennial. Highly competitive and instinctual in coverage he possesses great playing speed and reactionary quickness. Has the ability to stay in phase at all three levels of the field using his catch-up speed and acceleration to close space and recover. Plays the ball extremely well in the air flashing excellent hand-eye coordination, concentration, and ball skills at the catch point. Has the positional flexibility to be effective in all three phases at the college level depending on need and scheme. Picked up his first and only offer from Iowa State back in May but with his talent and high ceiling expect that to change as the recruiting cycle progresses.
Prassas is underrecruited and often overlooked in the loaded Basha defense but checks a lot of boxes as a high level college safety with his combination of size, range, and instincts. At 6’2” 185 lbs. he’s got great length and is a dynamic playmaker that is equally effective in coverage and run support. Processes information quickly and possesses a high football IQ with great awareness and anticipation to put himself in position to be a difference maker. He’s a ball hawk that sees the whole field and has a quick trigger to diagnose run/pass and react. Efficient with his movement and technique while being smart with his attack angles understanding he is the last line of defense. Holds an offer from New Mexico State but recruiting is still in its early stages and is fully expected to breakout as he’s able to showcase his skillset.
