Watkins is a mismatch for any HS defender at 6’5” 190 lbs. He’s a strider with good straight line speed to stretch the field vertically and turn short passes into long gains. An excellent deep ball or redzone threat that can use his length/extension to go over the top of defenders and attack the ball at the high point. Great ability to compete for the ball and come down with contested catches in traffic. So far this season he’s racked up 26 receptions for 430 yards and four touchdowns. Currently holds offers from Portland State and College of Idaho with the upside and potential to add more.
The Eastern Washington commit is an explosive athlete with great positional versatility to be a playmaker on either side of the ball at the college level. Possesses great quick twitch ability and natural fluidity in the hips to get in and out of his breaks as a route runner and create separation. A home run threat every time he touches the ball using his lateral agility/elusiveness to cut around defenders and his top end speed to breakaway. Plus ball skills, he’s confident with his hands and shows he can snatch the ball out of the air and extend outside his framework. First offered by Eastern Washington in early August and committed shortly after.
Williams is a gifted athlete with great versatility as a WR/DB. A plus route runner that can attack the defense at all three levels. Out of the slot he does a good job setting up his routes and establishing positional leverage. He’s strong at the catch point with natural soft hands and not afraid to go across the middle and absorb contact to make a play. Good open field speed, change of direction, and acceleration after the catch to avoid defenders and bring short screens to the second level. Not the biggest guy at 5’9” 165 lbs. but shows he can be a physical and effective stalk blocker. Was voted first team all area on both sides of the ball in 2021.
Transferred in from O’Dea and has made an immediate impact in the Garfield offense. At 6’2” 180 lbs. he possesses an impressive skillset with his combination of length, athleticism, and ball skills. He’s a sharp route runner that comes hard out of his stance with a great drive phase to break cushion on the DB and then create positioning. Natural ball skills with a large catch radius. He flashes a good ability to track/adjust to ball flight while competing and boxing out defenders to attack the ball at the high point. Recently picked up his first offer from Eastern Washington but has good upside to add more as he’s able to showcase his talent.
Manzano possesses plus athleticism and speed to impact the game in all three phases. As a receiver, he shows a clean release move that is effective against both press and off coverage. Good short area burst to quickly drive off the ball/get into his route and then accelerate out of his break to create separation. Does a good job dropping his hip level and using his lateral agility at the break point to accelerate out of his cuts. Strong instincts, body control, and concentration to come down with tough receptions in traffic. Good stalk blocker on the outside that flashes effort and the ability to sustain through the whistle. Great ability to win one on one matchups.
