DJ Porter added a little wrinkle to Dorman's offense on Friday.

Porter, who came into the year as the Cavaliers' leading receiver, checked in at quarterback for a few plays for Dorman. The results should give opponents pause.

Porter rushed 11 times for 211 yards, averaging more than 19 yards per carry, as the Cavaliers blasted previously unbeaten River Bluff 39-23 to remain undefeated on the season.

"It's just doing what I can do for my team," he said. "It's not what I'm thinking about it, it's just what the team needs me to do. Nothing more and nothing less."

Porter had a 66-yard TD reception from Hudson Talley to open the scoring for Dorman. His 80-yard dash put the game away for the Cavaliers. In between, he kept River Bluff off-balance and Dorman in business.

"I like the pressure," Porter said of being an offensive sparkplug for the Cavaliers. "The pressure motivates me."

Porter was far from the only offensive standout for Dorman. The Cavaliers continued their success on the ground, rushing for 371 yards and averaging more than 10 yards per carry. [player_tooltip player_id='91355' first='Markee' last='Anderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='202774' first='DJ' last='Geth'] paved the way up front, [player_tooltip player_id='262701' first='Demarius' last='Foster'] ran for 115 yards and two TDs, and Kendell Norman added 64 yards and a score on the ground.

"DJ Porter's really good with the ball in his hands," Dorman coach Dustin Curtis said. "So is Demarius, so is Kendell. And we're so big up front, we know guys are going to stack the box and do their best to shut that down, but can they sustain it when we keep leaning on them? Porter gave us some reads, and we were able to take away the extra hat, and we really responded in the second half."

Dorman's defense came to play, too. The Cavaliers had five different players notch seven tackles on the night, as Jonathan Frazier, [player_tooltip player_id='1144090' first='Brannon' last='Teamer'], LeDrico McCullough, Terrell Edwards, and Bennett Smith all reached that number.

[player_tooltip player_id='443497' first='Cooper' last='Johns'] had a good night for the Gators, rushing for 89 yards and a score and adding 63 receiving yards. QB Parker Murray threw for 225 yards and two TDs for River Bluff.
