Below we have listed some of our favorite passers after 4 weeks, who have also doubled as the top 5 leaders in passing. While each prospect has plenty of room for growth and development, we also recognize that they have still managed to have their own level of success that has separated them from other prospects across the state.
Tate Morris- McIntosh
Morris, hailing from McIntosh High School, has managed to top every single passer in the state of Georgia in passing yards totals after only 4 games this season. So far, he has averaged around 318.5 yards a game, and has completed 90 of his 141 passes. In addition to this he has proven to be very productive for his team, passing for 9 TD’s and only 2 interceptions. Moving forward, the main question will be if he can continue to perform at this rate while elevating his team. This is an important part of the equation that still remains unanswered, as he has only managed to lead his team to a 1-3 record so far.
Antwaan Hill Jr- Houston County
As Hill continues to add on to his yardage total, he has slowly seen other players creep up on his 1,184 yards, and has even seen a player in Tate Morris, pass him on this list. So far, Hill has thrown for 296 yards a game, and has also managed to complete 77% percent of his passes, which is highly impressive for a high school prospect. In addition to this, he has also already thrown for 13 TD’s in just 4 games, and has thrown only 2 interceptions along the way. With this, it should also be noted that he has improved in his decision making, and distribution of the ball.
Jim Coleman- Trinity Christian
In just 4 games, Coleman has found himself as one of Georgia’s leading passers, as he has thrown for 1,101 yards so far, with an average of 275.2 yards a game. The success of each of these passing yards has also contributed to 14 TD’s, and 3 interceptions, which has proven that he has had a high level of success distributing the ball. With this, Coleman also completed 62 of his 116 passes, putting him at around a 53% completion percentage. Moving forward, we would like to see him improve in this area, and to add on to his total yardage in a positive, and productive way for his team.
Harrison Hannah- Decatur
So far, Hannah has done a good job steadily climbing the ranks on this list, as he has already thrown for 1,026 yards, and an average of around 256 yards a game. What is most impressive, is that Hannah has been able to do so by completing 70 of his 103 passes, which has brought him to a 68% completion percentage. One thing we would like to see Hannah do is to take less risks, and to be more calculated with his delivery. This is proven by the fact that he has gone for 10 TD’s, and 4 interceptions so far this season. An improvement in this area will drastically improve his game, and his team’s overall performance.

has managed to find his way on our passing leaders list this week, as he has already put up over 1,000 yards this season. In total, he has thrown for 1,019 yards in only 3 games, which is incredibly impressive considering this means that he has averaged around 339 yards a game. In addition to this, it should also be noted that Philo completed 63 of his 106 passes, and has currently had a completion percentage of around 59%, which we would like to see improve as the season goes by. Moving forward, look for Philo to pass for even more yards, and to be able to add on to his current 11 TD’s.
