Week 2: Disruptive Defensive Players

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB Gus Austin, Kuna HS '23</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Austin has been all over the field to start the season and has been making a ton of plays from his linebacker position and is able to bang in the box and make plays outside the tackles as well. He is a high football IQ kid that seems to always be around the ball and brings a very nice thump upon contact. Adding to a very stout group of linebackers across the state, he is another front seven player that is a next level kid and can make a big impact in college. He should draw D-III+ interest as he progresses through his Senior season. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DE [player_tooltip player_id='336842' first='Carter' last='Davis'], Eagle HS '23</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Davis has been unblockable through the first two weeks of the season. He is coming off a strong showing this past weekend against Reno High School and is explosive and physical off the edge while playing with heavy hands, a variety of pass rush moves and violence at the POA. Packing on more weight from last season, he is a no brainer mid-major+ caliber prospect and should see more FBS offers roll in as he continues to dominate during his Senior season. He currently holds offers from Army, Brown, Idaho, Idaho State and Georgetown, amongst others. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DE [player_tooltip player_id='336884' first='Kall' last='Renner'], Eagle HS '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Renner is part of what might be the best defensive line duo across Idaho with Davis, and the two have been dominant early on in the season and extremely disruptive from their respective positions. Renner is only a Junior that is another FBS caliber prospect and has natural bend and explosion off the edge while playing with a high motor and creates immediate knock-back.
