Today we are talking about a handful of players from all leagues that deserve more recruiting attention. Below are 6 players that have been making noise through week 3 of this season.
Top 5 WR in the class of 2023 played with his heart on his sleeve in week 2 against Desoto. The explosive Workman showed that he can be productive and just as dangerous at any level of competition. Workman showcased his quick and precise route running ability to get open on a handful of receptions. He capped off a drive with 20-yard glance route for a TD. He helped lead the hometown powerhouse to a blowout victory over nationally ranked Desoto (TX).
Willis has been living up to his impressive off-season. After clocking good numbers and dominating at camps it all came full circle to the field. Only 3 weeks deep and he’s already racked up a handful of rushing TD’s, receiving TD’s & INT’s. If not for the penalty, Willis would be one of the few MD prospects with a 4 TD game already this season. Willis and the Sentinels are just getting started, lookout for them in the 1A state playoffs later this season.
Kenan is making a statement early that he is a weapon on both sides of the ball. We are familiar with his offensive explosiveness, that’s now translating to the defensive side of the ball. Kenan in the slot or at nickel is a great fit for him. He fast and possesses pretty good ball skills, while also being a big enough body and explosive to be able to make plays off the edge and on the box.
Carter is a Miaa threat on the rise for the Loyala Dons. I had the opportunity to watch Carter play against new town in week 2. He showcases some elusiveness in the screen game, ball skills down the field. Carter made an impressive play in the Newtown game along the sideline, tip toeing then diving his way into the endzone, showing off his body control. Ezra continuously shows spurts of being that big play threat. Keep an eye on this 2024 weapon ass the dons take on MIAA (A) competition.
Steven Robinson
Robinson is another player I had the opportunity to evaluate this offseason, he hit the ground running wild this season. He is currently the leading rusher in the state with 600+ total yards. But Robinson is more than just a ball carrier, he runs smooth and crafty routes from the slot, can catch out of the backfield, runs with explosiveness and is far from an easy tackle. Robinson landed his first offer from Erie Community College, he has the skill set, talent, and size to skip over Juco. His impressive performance in this early part of the season should be gaining the attention of recruiting coaches at all levels.
Moss is emerging as one of the top WR talents in the state. After watching Moss on the 7on7 circuit with Volt7v7 the same skills he demonstrated are translating perfectly to his regular season. In week three Moss recorded 4 touchdowns against DC power Gonzaga and followed up in week 4 with this crazy deep ball plat late in the fourth quarter. Moss has dangerous straight-line speed, good size at 6’0 185lbs and has strong hands and makes throws easy for his QB. He knows where to sit in zone and can take the top off with his track speed. This past off-season Moss landed his first offer from Wheeling university, after his performance up until now expect his recruiting stock to rise fast.
