It has been some high scoring offenses out there this season. There are teams who are throwing it around the air and there are teams who are getting it done on the ground. Even though I think defense wins championships, you got to have some players who can put up points. Let's check out some of the top teams putting up numbers on offense this year.

Starkville

[player_tooltip player_id='273258' first='Trey' last='Petty'] and [player_tooltip player_id='139597' first='Braylon' last='Burnside'] are making it happen. [player_tooltip player_id='340821' first='Jaylon' last='York'] is right there doing the same. Jaiden Turnipseed is another receivee they have who can stretch the field. Starkville have some guys who can hurt a team in several different ways on offense. They also have Courtland Cooper who totes the ball out of the backfield.

Starkville has a good way of spreading the football around. They have a quarterback that is amazing and can make any throw on the football field. They have receivers who know how to run routes. Coach Chris Jones knows how to get these guys moving on offense.

Tupelo

This offense is very explosive and it looks like they are out to make some statements this year. I love to watch them play. They are a fast paced offense that can run and pass. This team has a good chance to make a deep playoff run. They have a lot of weapons to get the football to.

[player_tooltip player_id='344100' first='Jeremiah' last='Harrell'] is the guy who takes the snaps for the Golden Wave. He has been pretty accurate this season. They have [player_tooltip player_id='340864' first='Daelyn' last='Patton'], KD Gibson and [player_tooltip player_id='139851' first='JQ' last='Witherspoon'] who are on the island catching passes. Jaboree Dooley and Quay Middlebrooks are the guys holding down in the back field. Together they average 160 yards a game. These guys know how to move the football.

Vancleave

These guys love to run the football and they are doing a good job at it. Every week you see John Peterson's name as a top performer. He could possibly have a thousand yards rushing by this weekend. Last year they had a guy rush for 3000 yards and it could happen again this year. They truly pound the football.

Ocean Springs

Brayson Hubbard has been doing his thing for the Greyhounds. He is getting it done with his feet and his arm. Will Smith, Jr is showing what he can do. He is only a sophomore making a very big name for himself. Look for Smith to be a big time prospect. They also have some receivers that make plays on the outside. They are going to be putting up numbers throughout the remainder of the season. They also put up a lot of points.
