Corbin ran for 270 yards on 21 carries, and 4 touchdowns in Bruton’s 48-26 win over Surry County. Bruton moves on to 2-0 and will face New Kent this weekend. The Panthers are off to a great start and it is all behind the running of Corbin, who is now the state’s leading rusher with 456 yards, averaging 13.6 yards per carry, and has 6 touchdowns on the season.

Saunders was a key contributor on both sides of the ball. He carried 35 times for 186 yards, had 1 reception for 10 yards, 5 tackles, and 1 pass break up in a 15-13 victory over South Lakes to lead Alexandria City to a 2-0 start. The Titans senior back has a total of 346 yards on the season with 2 touchdowns, and is averaging 8.2 yards per carry.

Bryan completed 22 of 39 passes for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns, had 31 rushing yards, and a passing rating of 112.2 in a 36-25 win over Briar Woods and to bring John Champe HS to a 1-1 record. Bryan leads the state in passing yards with 560, has gone 37 for 65, threw for 5 touchdowns, and has 111 Quarterback Rating on the season. Last year he threw for 2300 yards and 27 touchdowns, and he is already off to another strong season.
Lipovski is the top Quarterback in the Class of 2023. The Delaware commit threw for 307 yards and 4 touchdowns in a Lake Braddock’s 34-31 comeback win over Madison. Lipovski has the highest QBR in the state for Quarterbacks with over 30 passing attempts, with a rating of 146. He has a total of 477 yards, has gone 22 for 35, and threw for 7 touchdowns.

Wimbush had 10 carries for 110 yards, averaged 11 yards per carry, 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receptions, 67 receiving yards, averaged 33.5 a receptions, and 1 receiving touchdown in a 22-15 win over Centreville. His total on the year is a gaudy 28.3 yards per catch with 7 receptions for 199 yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 13 carries for 126 rushing yards, averaging 9.7 yards per carry, and 2 touchdowns.
