Thursday Night Showdowns Week 3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's week 3 ladies and gents. This week we have more Showdowns going on this Thursday due to inclement weather Friday. I'm very excited to witness some football tonight. I'm anxious to find out some of these results after the game. I personally will be at Nettleton vs Saltillo. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Nettleton vs Saltillo </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is a game of two teams who don't like each other. They aren't far from each other and both teams wants a win. Nettleton is going to be versatile on offense as well as Saltillo. Nettleton has been throwing the ball a lot too. Going to interesting to see what they do against this Saltillo secondary. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nettleton's offense is going to be led by [player_tooltip player_id='284025' first='Braylen' last='Williams'] a 2026 QB who has a very high ceiling. He has been putting up some good numbers this season and already has over 450 passing yards. I like this guy's style. I don't know much about their defense, but I've heard they have some grit about themselves. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saltillo has [player_tooltip player_id='344087' first='JT' last='Beasley'] who will hold things down for them on offense. He is a big target that knows how to go and get the ball. He is a big target that his QB will look to when he is in trouble. Like I said earlier, Saltillo gas a good secondary. [player_tooltip player_id='344085' first='Lekih' last='Freeman'] is a guy who is gritty. He likes to hit and he knows how to cover. He is also a big time leader. Be sure to keep your eyes on this game tonight. Saltillo is winless trying to end that tonight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>East Webster vs Vardaman</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is going to be a very good game. Both teams are undefeated and trying to stay that way. There will be a lot of rushing going on tonight between both of these teams. You can expect some old school formations being used in this game. This probably won't be a high scoring game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vardaman has [player_tooltip player_id='1120587' first='Za' last='Pratt'] who is a threat to put up a lot of rushing yards. He is elusive and knows how to make people miss. They are going to ride on his back tonight. He should be out there making plays all over the field. We'll have to wait and see. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Provine vs Callaway</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These two teams don't have to travel far to see each other. They are in town competition who knows each other well. They all workout and train together during the summer. Both teams have some very good receivers who know how to go get that ball. This may be a high scoring game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Callaway have [player_tooltip player_id='344026' first='Jeremy' last='Scott'] and KeDarius Wade on there side. They also have some more guys that help them get things done, but these two are truly explosive. They open up the field for Callaway. Brown is a guy that they have at receiver who can bust the field open too. Going to be interesting to see this game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dan Smith is a guy that Provine have who will be holding it down on offense for them. He is a guy that knows how to get open. Yes he can run routes. You do not want to let him get loose tonight. It's hard to say who has the upper hand in this game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Philadelphia vs Leake Central</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Both of these teams are looking for a win. Both teams have talent, but have ran into a hard time trying to win games these first two weeks of the season. Philadelphia plays with speed and are going to be trying to get to the edge on offense, playing fast on defense. Leake Central has speed too. Jarkea Reed is a 4.4 guy who knows how to use that speed. [player_tooltip player_id='346262' first='Demar' last='Gardner'] can break things open on offense for Leake Central too. I think Leake Central takes this one tonight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
