Hillside was able to establish their dominance on offense and controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the game. The listed players performances caught my attention throughout the game.
South Granville
Peyton Currin – QB, 6’1″ 170. He directed the offensive unit which was unable to generate very little offense throughout the game. He displayed calmness while being under constant pressure in the pocket to deliver a few accurate short-range passes on target to the receivers.
Sha’King Allah – RB, 5’8″ 185. Sha’King displayed good balance and vision while running inside for tough yardage. He displayed toughness as he took several solid hits and continue to run inside. Sha’King displayed speed to accelerate past defenders in the open field on a couple of running plays. He finished the game with 65 yards on 21 carries.
Mayon Myers – WR, 6’1″ 160. Mayon ran good pass routes and separation from defenders on a couple of passing plays. He finished the game with 2 receptions for 19 yards.
Hillside
Wilson Kargbo Jr. – QB, 6’2″ 185. Wilson directed the offense with a combination of passing and running plays throughout the game. He displayed good arm strength on short-range and longball passes on target to the receivers. Wilson displayed a smooth throwing motion with a quick release. He displayed the ability to complete throws while on the run. Wilson completed 8 of 16 passes for 174 yards and 2 TDs.
Jimmyll Williams – RB, 5’10” 185. Jimmyll displayed good quickness and speed to find an opening and accelerate past defenders in the open field to gain yardage. He displayed good balance and vision on the inside running plays. Jimmyll finished the game with 103 yards on 10 carries and 2 TDs.
Tahir Henry – WR, 5’10” 170. Tahir ran good pass routes and good separation from defenders to make catches. He displayed good hands on the catches made in traffic. Tahir finished the game with 5 receptions for 121 yards and 1 TD. He was difficult to defend in man-coverage.
Hillside offensive unit displayed their dominance with a passing and a running attack throughout the game.
