These young men are off to a hot start in their senior campaigns and have put together some impressive highlight tapes early. Their recruitments have yet to take off, but I think if they continue to produce at this rate, that should change quickly. I’m excited to follow them throughout this fall and will be anxiously awaiting their finalized senior highlight films! With all that being said, here’s who you need to know!
Jaxon Pilgrim, 6’2″ 205, Westlake, UT
- Quite slippery, rushing off the edge.
- Shows active hands and plenty of bend.
- Effort and closing speed is outstanding.
- Takes great angles to the tackle.
Jdyn Bullion, 6’2″ 240, Bellevue West, NE
- Can cause major knockback when taking on blocks.
- Looks like your prototypical mike linebacker.
- Quickness helps him evade blocks at the second level.
- Moves awfully well for an inside linebacker and has shown he can hawk down opposing ball carriers.
- Sinks into his hook/curl in zone coverage with his eyes reading the quarterback’s intentions.
Jerrell Franklin, 6’1″ 215, Oakland, TN
- Can easily redirect and change direction.
- Has the willingness to fight through slide protection and make a play on the quarterback.
- Proven to be a highly productive pass rusher.
- Can fill any gap between the tackles and stuff backs right in their tracks.
- Has an uncanny ability to make a big play on defense or special teams.
Eli Denton, 6′ 205, Walker Valley, TN
- Fills open gaps with no hesitation.
- Reads quarterbacks like a book in zone coverage.
- A true hustler on tape for four quarters.
- Has a knack for forcing fumbles.
Brayden Beyer, 6′ 205, Park City, UT
- Has an aggressive playing style that bodes well for the linebacker position.
- Was gifted with a ton of twitch.
- Has a natural feel for the game.
- Fits interior gaps with a ton of force.
- Makes you feel his presence on contact.
IV Webb, 6’2″ 215, Anderson, TX
- A throwback that plays with a tenacious mindset.
- Speeds his feet when contacting a ball carrier.
- Pure strength helps him muscle through first-level blocks.
- Kid loves contact and looks to punish anyone in his path.
Holden Trice, 5’11” 205, Harrison, TX
- A destructive linebacker that has an ongoing motor.
- Shows exceptional burst once he reads run.
- His competitiveness helps make up for other people’s mistakes.
- He’s not easily fooled by misdirection on runs or screen passes.
