RP came away with the 35-29 OT victory, but not without major controversy in the end. At the end of the day, it was an amazing matchup showcasing two programs quickly rising in the ranks. Today, I’ll be going over 6 athletes that stood out!
Brody played great last night, and he’s been on a tear all season.
162 yards on 14 carries and 2TDs. The Red Hawk defense couldn’t contain him, and much of the time it looked like he could do whatever he wanted.
I love how hard Brody runs, how he follows his blocks, and how he never seemed to slow down even in the 4th quarter.
Highlights
#7 was making plays all over the field on Friday, easily totaling over 100 yards rushing and passing.
Tommy Stevens Tommy Stevens 5’8″ | 175 lbs | QB Grand Rapids Union | 2023 MI may be the most electric playmaker in the OK Conference. He’s not the most skilled passer, but he’s a Jalen Hurts type player that is great at improvising and making the most out of broken plays. His speed is blazing, and he possesses a lethal juke move. One of Reeths-Puffer’s keys to win the game was to stop Tommy Stevens Tommy Stevens 5’8″ | 175 lbs | QB Grand Rapids Union | 2023 MI , and they failed that task.
Tyviea Williams
Tyviea Williams
Ty Williams hit hard and hit often, posting 9 solo tackles.
He was all over the field, and the film backs up the great performance. Union had a difficult time running the ball, and Williams was a massive reason why. There’s one play in particular that sticks out where Ty Williams absolutely obliterated a Union ballcarrier near the sidelines.
Syncere was by far the best player on the Union offensive line. Every play where I explicitly watched him, he held his block through the whistle. I love the effort he put forth on every play, and I love the power and technique he displayed out on the field.
I’m very comfortable ranking him as high as I have in the 2025 rankings, and I look forward to seeing his career play out.
Brady Ross
Brady Ross
Ross is the glue that holds the offense together. He was great last Friday, with a few TDs and plenty of yardage on the ground. Just look at the highlight below.
Jersey Brown
Jersey Brown
Jersey Brown was the focal point in Union’s passing offense, coming up with big-time plays when they needed it most. I was heavily impressed by Brown’s hands as well as his run after catch ability. I look forward to seeing how he does against Muskegon and Mona Shores in the coming weeks.
