Recruiting visits, both official and unofficial are in full swings all throughout the country. Plenty of recruiting news and visits are taking place or have taken place over the past few days. In this article, we are going to look at prospects taking some visits, being invited to visit, and feeling the love from coaching staffs across the country. Here are several prospects that have made recruiting news over the past week.   [player_tooltip player_id='385303' first='Aaron' last='Smith']-Offensive Line-Conway-2023   Momentum is high and clicking on all cylinders for both the Conway Wampus Cats and offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='385303' first='Aaron' last='Smith']. Smith has had a tremendous start to the season and put his mix of power and speed on display every week. The Wampus Cats are off to an undefeated start to the season. Over the past few days, Smith received a scholarship offer from the Arkansas State Red Wolves. I look for this talented prospect to continue to haul in the scholarship offers this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='223617' first='Justin' last='Crutchmer']-Athlete-Lake Hamilton-2023   Versatility is the name of the game for the Lake Hamilton running back/defensive back. The Lake Hamilton Wolves are off to a 4-0 start to the season Crutchmer is seeing plenty of action on both sides of the football. In the process, Crutchmer is building plenty of recruiting momentum. Over the weekend, Crutchmer earned a scholarship offer from the University of Central Oklahoma. Continue to watch Crutchmer this season, the young man is just getting started.   [player_tooltip player_id='376929' first='Torren' last='Jackson']-Defensive Back-Watson Chapel-2023   Jackson is a prospect that has kept the momentum he built over the summer and kept it going into the season. The Watson Chapel defensive back has not disappointed all season with his high level of play. Jackson earned an invitation to this weekend's Langston University-Arkansas Baptist game taking place in Little Rock. Jackson is having a big season and I look for him to continue his big season over the next few weeks.   [player_tooltip player_id='356111' first='Tyler' last='Johnson']-Wide Receiver-Little Rock Mills-2023   [player_tooltip player_id='356111' first='Tyler' last='Johnson'] made the short trip to pay a visit to the Memphis Tigers over the weekend as well. The talented Little Rock Mills wide receiver enjoyed his visit to the Tigers. Johnson's thoughts on the weekend, “It was a great weekend. I got to meet a couple of old teammates that graduate a year or two before me. It was all-in-all a great experience.” Johnson is a prospect that uses his speed well to stretch the field for the Little Rock Mills offense. He is a prospect that has been used in the run and the passing game effectively. Johnson is a wide receiver that can turn a small gain into an explosive in the blink of an eye. Keep an eye on Johnson the rest of the season for the Mills Comets.   [player_tooltip player_id='315838' first='Erik' last='Barrientos']-Offensive Line-Fort Smith Northside-2023   The versatile Northside offensive lineman is another prospect that is having an impressive season for the Grizzlies. Having played every position along the offensive line is impressive, even more impressive is the effectiveness of which he plays each position. Barrientos was able to attend the Oklahoma State game over the weekend. He is a prospect that has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='201147' first='Anton' last='Pierce']-Defensive Back-Little Rock Mills-2023   The Little Rock Mills defensive back has opened plenty of eyes over the past few months. Pierce is a defensive back that does a terrific job of making plays on the ball in the secondary. The versatility that Pierce displays is impressive, and his 6-3 frame is ideal for the safety position. Pierce is a defensive back that does not mind delivering a hit and separating the ball from the ball carrier. Pierce from all indicators enjoyed his visit to Memphis and enjoyed being able to see friends and watch an exciting game between Arkansas State and Memphis.   [player_tooltip player_id='152083' first='Chris' last='Gannaway']-Running Back-Bryant-2023   The Bryant running back is putting together another impressive season for the Hornets this season. Gannaway had a busy week this past weekend. He took the opportunity to make a visit to Lindenwood University. The talented Bryant running back enjoyed his visit to the campus from all indications. He is a running back that is always at his best when the game is on the line. He has a knack for making the big plays and the school that lands him gets a playmaker the moment he steps on campus.   [player_tooltip player_id='153886' first='Charleston' last='Collins']-Defensive Line-Little Rock Mills-2024   A prospect in the state of Arkansas that has blown up from a recruiting perspective. Over the past six months, Collins has seen scholarship offers come pouring in, including scholarship offers from Miami, Arkansas, and Oregon to name a few. The Little Rock Mills defensive lineman can play any of the positions along the defensive front. Collins has the versatility and quickness to cause problems for opposing offensive lines from any position along the defensive front. Collins' thoughts on Memphis, “Memphis was cool. It was a great game the entire time. The fans were very entertaining, and the city is great.” Collins is a prospect that college football fans will want to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.
