We have plenty of talented prospects to look at who lit up the skies on Friday. The talented level in the state of Arkansas never disappoints and last night displayed the talent across the state in impressive fashion.
Chris Bell Chris Bell 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Gentry | 2023 State AR -Quarterback-Gentry-2023
Impressive is not quite a proper term to describe the night that Gentry quarterback Chris Bell Chris Bell 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Gentry | 2023 State AR had on Friday night. The Gentry signal caller was 17-of-21 passing for 309 yards and five touchdowns. However, he was just getting started, Bell also punched the ball in the end zone three times on the night. Keep an eye on Bell the rest of the season, he is off to a tremendous start to the season.
Chris Young-Running Back-Newport-2023
Against Truman on Friday night, Young continued his strong start to the season. Young rushed for 114 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns. Young has lit up the scoreboard over the past few weeks and does not appear to be slowing down any. Look for the Newport running back to continue his strong season over the course of the rest of the season.
Dalton Yancey Dalton Yancey 5'7" | 145 lbs | WR Heber Springs | 2024 State AR -Wide Receiver-Heber Springs-2024
Heber Springs had the offense clicking on all cylinders on Friday night. In the victory over Jonesboro Westside, Yancey hauled in five receptions for 73 and a touchdown. Yancey uses his smooth route running to create separation and that talent was on full display on Friday night. Keep an eye out for Yancey over the next few seasons, he has the potential to light up opposing defenses.
Zion Smith-Linebacker-Little Rock Mills-2025
Stop me if you have heard this one, but Little Rock Mills has another talented defensive prospect to keep an eye on. Smith had an extremely impressive night on Friday night. The Little Rock Mills linebacker had 22 tackles and one sack. Smith is a prospect to watch out for over the next two seasons. He is always around the football and has excellent speed. Smith is a linebacker that is always around the football.
Tate Spray-Offensive Line-Centerpoint-2025
In a close matchup last night, Centerpoint offensive lineman Tate Spray set the tone for the night. Spray display what a devastating blocker he can be against Bigelow. Spray had six pancake blocks and made life miserable for opposing defensive lineman last night. The 2025 offensive line class is shaping up to be a talented class to watch.
Donovyn Omolo Donovyn Omolo 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Conway | 2024 State AR -Quarterback-Conway-2024
Omolo has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the state of Arkansas over the past two seasons. The Wampus Cat signal caller was 26-of-37 for 375 yards and five touchdowns. Conway is going to be a difficult team to contend with when they are clicking like they are right now. Look for the Wampus Cats and Omolo to continue the high level of play. Conway has the talent to make a deep playoff run this season.
Owen Miller Owen Miller 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Harding Academy | 2025 State AR -Quarterback-Harding Academy-2025
The Harding Academy signal caller is starting to become a mainstay on the prime-time players list every week. Owen Miller Owen Miller 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Harding Academy | 2025 State AR had another impressive outing on Friday night. The Harding Academy quarterback displayed tremendous accuracy going 22-of-29 for 312 yards and four touchdowns on Friday night. Harding Academy appears to be clicking on ally cylinders to start the season. They are a team to watch out for this season.
Tramond Miller Tramond Miller 5'8" | 120 lbs | QB Drew Central | 2025 State AR -Running Back-Drew Central-2025
If you haven’t started to pay attention to Tramond Miller Tramond Miller 5'8" | 120 lbs | QB Drew Central | 2025 State AR yet, now would be a good time. Miller had another strong outing on Friday night. Miller rushed for over 100 yards and punched the ball in the end zone two times. Miller continues to improve every week and is a running back to watch out for over the next few years.
Josh Ficklin Josh Ficklin 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Bentonville | 2023 State AR -Running Back-Bentonville-2023
The Tigers running back continues open eyes and impress week after week. Ficklin had 17 carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns. The Bentonville running back does a great job of exploding through the hole and is a prospect to watch this season. I expect him to have a strong close to his high school career this season.
CJ Brown CJ Brown 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Bentonville | 2024 State AR -Athlete-Bentonville-2024
One of the most explosive prospects in the state of Arkansas. Brown had an impressive night against Kansas City Rockhurst. Brown had six receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown. Brown can play all over the field and is going to be an exciting player to watch over the next two seasons. He is off to a fantastic start this season.
KiAndrea Barker-Running Back-Beebe-2025
KiAndrea Barker is having an excellent start to the 2022 season. He came up huge for the Beebe Badgers on Friday night. Barker had a pick-six and a impressive 92 yard run for a touchdown. Barker has the potential to have an explosive rest of the season and I look for him to continue to open the eyes this season.
