SOUTH DAKOTA-- Week 6 in South Dakota has come and gone quickly in the Mount Rushmore State, as we saw several excellent nominees for our weekly Big Dogs of the Week, nominated by the coaches across the state and with plenty of research across social media, etc. as well. We are now past the midway point of the regular season, as the playoffs are right around the corner from 11AAA all the way down to 9B. Again this week, with our submissions, we named our choice for South Dakota Big Dog of the Week in Week 6 at the bulk of the positions (defense wins championships, of course, but we just handed out a defensive player of the week). Some names you have seen for weeks; others are new names to us or developing prospects we hoped would turn the corner as far as their potential in 2022, which has happened a bunch.
