Nonetheless, it is that time of the year for film to go out. A mid-season film that shows promise can help you get on the radio. Here are some mid-season films I have been impressed with.
Kamron Beavers, 6-4 330, DL, Bay Springs, 2024
From the time I pressed play on this young man’s film I was intrigued. He does things the right way on the defensive line. He moves very well to be such a big kid. He has an offer from Texas Tech that he received last week. He has recently been invited to games at Ole Miss and Florida. He is a guy to keep up with. He will produce more good film as the season goes on.
Tyler Lockhart Tyler Lockhart 6'3" | 200 lbs | LB Winona | 2025 State MS , 6-4 195, OLB, Winona, 2025
Tyler Lockhart Tyler Lockhart 6'3" | 200 lbs | LB Winona | 2025 State MS is another guy who impressed me soon as I watched his film. He has long arms that helps him shed blocks. He knows how to get in the zone and cover and he is an aggressive hitter. One thing I did notice is that he doesn’t have the same power when he wraps up as he does when he just runs through an opponent. I think he needs to find a way to have that exact drive he has when he catches a guy off guard, and implement into to plays when he wraps up. He has been invited to a game at Ole Miss this Saturday. This guy is going to take off soon. He is a basketball player who just needs to find the same smoothness he has on the court when he hits the football field.
Jarkea Reed, 6-0 160, WR, Leake Central, 2023
Jarkea Reed is blazing fast and he is a threat to go a long way every time he steps on the field. He has true 4.4 speed that is easy to see on film. I was at a camp and saw him clock a 4.43 when he ran the forty yard dash. His films look good. You can see that he knows how to use his speed to make big plays. He does not have any division one offers, but I think that if he continues to play good that can change. He is a guy any offensive coach would love to have on their team.
Laterrius Haynes, 5-11 175, DB, Louisville, 2023
Laterrius Haynes has been amazing this season and it is getting him some recognition. He has been invited to a game at Southern Miss and Henderson State. This kid has some of the most fluent hips in the state. When you watch his film you can instantly see how good he is. I will always say that he is a player that deserves to play division one football. Laterrius Haynes has a lot of talent and he is very versatile.
Jamonta Waller Jamonta Waller 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Picayune | 2024 State MS , 6-2 215, WDE, Picayune, 2024
Jamonta Waller Jamonta Waller 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Picayune | 2024 State MS has been super impressive and he is a guy that can blow up one side of the field on his own. His film is amazing. This guy has all the moves that you want to see in an edge player. He also is a big help in their rush defense. He has been invited to a game at Alabama this weekend. He recently received offers from Ole Miss and Oregon.
