Young is a QB who can methodically dice up a defense with proficiency and quickness. While going for 251 3TDs and 1INT on 18-24 passing, Young showed flashes of being an elite field general. He’s mechanically sound with a quick release and great hip rotation- which generates consistent spirals. Young Gets the ball out of his hands quickly and keeps the offense ahead of schedule. He throws with touch and accuracy and distributes catchable balls frequently. Young is ultra-efficient with play-action passes. Shows comfort in throwing on the run, navigating moving pockets, and finding his target in a timely matter. Young also has good pocket mobility and knows how and when to climb up when edge rushers get upfield. Young is definitely a QB to keep an eye on throughout the season.
Wade Dobbins
Wade Dobbins
On paper, Dobbins was one of the most explosive players in the state. With a kick return touchdown, punt return touchdown, and a receiving touchdown, Dobbins showed tremendous value as an all-purpose receiver and a scoring threat as a natural return specialist. Dobbins has excellent vision and anticipation for creases developing in front of him. He displayed solid bursts and good enough breakaway speed to do damage in space. As a receiver, he showed solid route running and hands. Enabling him to be a legitimate threat on the outside. In space, he has a natural wiggle and can make guys miss. With versatility and big play ability with the ball in his hands, Dobbins is one of the more multifaceted players in the 2025 class.
Karl Parham
Karl Parham
Parham is a dynamic dual-threat that can be a catalyst for an offense. With one of the better deep balls in the state, he’s frequently on time and on target when getting the ball down the field. He has great arch and touch when dropping it in the bucket and is a QB who can stretch the field.
Parham also shows great speed and elusiveness when maneuvering in and out of the pocket. He does an excellent job of keeping his eyes downfield and looking for the bigger play- and he seems to generate chunk plays at a high rate. Parham’s arm, confidence, and the overall game should allow him to develop into one of the better QBs in the 2024 class and a prospect you should keep note of throughout the season.
Townsend is quietly emerging as one of the better receivers in the 2024 class. His frame and the way optimizes his length make him an asset in many facets of the game. With a wide catch radius and elite ability to highpoint the ball, Townsend is an elite deep threat. His film looks like a Ja Morant highlight – elite hops, jumping over defenders, making plays, and letting them know about it. Townsend’s concentration and hand strength also jumps out as he consistently makes contested catches and box out smaller players. This makes Townsend an elite Redzone threat and nightmare matchup on the outside. Though he had limited opportunities in his Mae Jemison game, Townsend showed flashes of developing into an impact player on the next level.
I’Leek Quinn
I’Leek Quinn
Quinn is a receiver who shows a solid overall skill set along with size. Showed he can take the top off the defense and make plays downfield. He made contested catches and used his physique to fight through contact, and he was adequate when creating yards after the catch in the quick game. While being a jack of all trades, Quinn was an asset in every situation and was the No.1 option of the Lakeside offense. It’ll be interesting to see if Quinn can build on this performance and stack up his resume as one of the sleepers in the 2024 class.
