Overview: Thursday night brought us a meeting of cross-town rivals in the Omaha North Vikings and Omaha Central Eagles. The Vikings came into the game riding a 3-game winning streak since a season-opener loss to Bellevue West. Central, on the other hand, won the season opener but has suffered 3 losses in a row. From the jump, North established their running game with an early touchdown from RB [player_tooltip player_id='227549' first='Te'Shaun' last='Porter']. The Viking's passing offense was also very efficient, with [player_tooltip player_id='320049' first='Sebastian' last='Circo'] leading the way. Omaha Central's [player_tooltip player_id='250695' first='Kevin' last='McGee'] was finding some success on the ground averaging 6.9 yards a carry, however, drives would eventually stall. Ultimately, Omaha North's offensive firepower and defensive muscle overpowered the Eagles and took home the 40-0 win.

Next Game: Omaha North vs. Omaha Northwest; Omaha Central vs. Creighton Prep.

Player of the Game: [player_tooltip player_id='227549' first='Te'Shaun' last='Porter'] | 2023 - RB | Omaha North | 5'11" 210 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Te'Shaun has been on a dominant 4-game stretch to open the season, and he continued that against the Eagles on Thursday night. He did see a lighter load this week than usual, with 13 carries while rushing for 98 yards. However, Porter was still very efficient and productive with his touches as he averaged 7.5 yards a carry and scored 3 touchdowns. Te'Shaun continues to make a case as the best back in the state especially with how well-rounded he is as a runner. He can use his power and strength to absorb contact and bulldoze his way through defenses, or he can plant his foot in the ground, change course and take off for a long run. We're only halfway through the season, but Te'Shaun is already nearing the 1,000-yard rushing mark. Could he end up the rushing leader?

https://twitter.com/GalindoOsc12/status/1573117748351479808?s=20&t=y6frjIwEbwIHtwMFvUMKmA

[player_tooltip player_id='320049' first='Sebastian' last='Circo'] | 2025 - QB | Omaha North

Hudl | Twitter

Now in his 3rd game back from injury, Sebastian was extremely efficient against the Eagles. Circo finished the game 13/14 on his attempts and threw for 274 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns. What was really impressive about Circo's game was his ability to make throws at all levels of the field. He showed his accuracy in short, medium, and long throws, and his connection with Tre Brown in the corner of the endzone was especially nice. Most importantly, Sebastian looked really calm and poised in the pocket while taking time to go through his reads. Sebastian has the offense flowing, which could be trouble for the rest of Class A.

[player_tooltip player_id='318990' first='Aamir' last='Hill'] | 2025 - ATH | Omaha Central

Hudl | Twitter

Sophomore ATH [player_tooltip player_id='318990' first='Aamir' last='Hill'] continues to impress me with his athleticism and quick twitch. I've had the opportunity to watch Hill at a few competitions this year, and he made great plays each time. Thursday was no exception as Aamir ended as the Eagle's leading receiver and near the top in tackles. Hill hauled in 2 receptions for 47 yards and 5 tackles on defense. What I like about Aamir's game are his twitch and shiftiness. He is a monster in the open field and can take people's ankles. On defense, he shows a good football IQ and can diagnose the play quickly. Look out for this stud two-way player to make waves in the 2025 recruiting circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='227005' first='Tyler' last='Stewart'] | 2023 - DL | Omaha North | 6'0" 205 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

DL [player_tooltip player_id='227005' first='Tyler' last='Stewart'] has to be one of the more underrated pass/edge rushers in the state. Against the Eagles, Tyler was able to accumulate 5 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks. With big Tyson and S'Marious garnering a lot of attention up front, it gives Tyler the perfect chance to pin his ears back and get after the ball carrier. Even when not accounting for that, the two-time wrestling state champ uses great leverage and athleticism to disengage from blockers. On top of having the physical tools, Stewart also just has an insane motor to go all game.

[player_tooltip player_id='250671' first='Tayzhon' last='Johnson'] | 2024 - RB/LB | Omaha Central | 6'0" 195 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Tayzhon is a player that caught my eye last year as a sophomore. Johnson is a good-sized linebacker for only being a junior, and he has a non-stop motor and continued to play very hard the entire game. Tayzhon plays with a physical edge to his game, and it shows whether he's toting the rock or the one making the stop. Johnson finished the game with 6 tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, and also rushed for 41 yards. At linebacker, he's a tough tackler that loves to put his force into his hits. Very promising youngster!

[player_tooltip player_id='398156' first='Julian' last='Turner-Wright'] | 2023 - LB | Omaha North | 6'0" 200 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Julian was a menace lining up against the Eagle's offense. Turner-Wright was consistently breaking into the backfield and wreaking havoc. In total, Julian racked up 5 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. Even when he doesn't get all the way to the QB or running back, he still manages to be disruptive in some form or another. He has a bigger frame but moves fast and has a quick, explosive first step that helps him get in the backfield consistently. Julian adds another weapon to an already stacked Viking front seven.

Other Notable players:

[player_tooltip player_id='305112' first='Titan' last='Glassman'] | 2025 -
