The Fighting Crusaders are currently ranked #1 in the state and are undefeated at 6-0 and last week, they defeated La Salle 47-14. They have averaged 37.67 points per game on offense and have given up 18.33 points per game on defense. The Panthers are currently ranked 6th and are 5-1. Last week, they defeated St. Xavier 42-10. They have averaged 26.67 points per game on offense and have given up 14.67 points per game on defense. There are several very talented players on both teams and here are five of those players to keep an eye on during the game.
He displays very good quickness and agility as he gets to the edge and turns the corner. He runs behind his pads and shows very good contact balance and power as he breaks tackles from larger defenders and finishes the run by falling forward for extra yardage. He is also a quality receiver as well. He runs wheel routes and shows good hands as he makes the catch. After the catch is made, he uses his good play speed to score easily.
Karson plays as a CB. Against the pass, he uses his very good play speed to stay in phase with the XWR. He tracks the ball very well in the air and catches the ball at its highest point for an INT. After the interception is made, he returns it for several yards giving the offense great field position. Against the run, he shows good instincts as he takes the correct angle in pursuit and shows very good play strength to make the tackle preventing a potential touchdown.
Jewett plays as a EDGE. Against the run, he is quick off the ball penetrating the LOS very quickly, takes good angles in pursuit and shows good form as he makes the tackle behind the LOS for a TFL. Against the pass, he shows good burst and defeats the block from the OT with his very good play strength and use of hands. He exhibits good closing speed and range in pursuit and forces the QB to pass the ball earlier than anticipated leading to an incomplete pass.

Samari Freeman
Samari plays as a DT. Against the run, he fires out low and uses his very good play strength to defeat the block from the OG. He quickly locates the RB and shows solid play speed in pursuit before he makes the tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage. Against the pass, he shows a great combination of play strength and physical toughness as he easily sheds the block from the OG. He is quick in pursuit and forces the QB to make a poor decision with the ball leading to a loss of yardage on the completion.
Joshua Dugan
Joshua Dugan
Joshua plays as an ILB. Against the run, he quickly reads run/pass and moves well laterally in space. He shows excellent form as he makes a powerful tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage. Against the pass, he shows quick hands before disengaging from the OL block. He shows good closing speed in pursuit before finishing up with a sack. He shows good awareness in coverage as he patrols his zone with good athletic ability while reading the QB.
