With the 2022 season here, I wanted to go spotlight some prospects that had top week 1 performances. It is important that we highlight as many prospects as possible. These players are all talented and have college football level ability. Some of these players have a few offers and with the help of big seasons I can forsee all of them playing college football at some level.
Nehemiah Vann, QB- Seven Rivers Christian c/o 23
6’1 180lbs
After passing for 2100 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, Vann is off to a hot start again going 17-26 for 236 yards, completed 65% of his passes with 3 touchdowns through the air; while also rushing for 66 yards in a 32-20 win over Bell Creek Academy last Friday. Vann is a very talented athlete that can make every throw necessary to play at the next level, he’s an outstanding student with a 4.2 GPA and does a good job spraying the ball at all three levels of the field. He’s under the radar player coaches need to take notice of.
Logan McCloud, DE- Newberry High c/o 25
6’2 230lbs
McCloud is a player on the rise and is a very talented freshman coaches need to take notice of quickly. He was a playmaker in last week’s game in helping Newberry defeat Santa Fe 34-27. In that game he registered 7 tackles and 3 sacks! He’s a natural athlete that plays on both sides of the ball. He’s position versatile and can line up at either defensive end positions, shows high-end acceleration and get off with the ability to bend around the edge. Bright future ahead for this young Prospect.
Jacob Dyers, LB- Belleview High c/o 24
6’0 195lbs
Dyers was a big reason Belleview held Lecanto to 15 points in last week’s victory. Dyers had a monster game registering 14 tackles with 6 of them going for loss! Active linebacker that shows outstanding acceleration and burst to the football, trusts his eyes and takes good angles to the ball, always attacking downhill, his instincts are some of the best I’ve seen on film in the last few months! Coaches better start taking notice of him because he’s a heck of a player!
Nashoun Pryor, RB- Jefferson High c/o 23
5’10 175lbs
Pryor burst on the scene last week in helping Jefferson to a 38-26 victory over Sickles high. He had an unbelievable game with 19 carries for 312 yards, averaging over 16 yards per carry with 4 rushing touchdowns! He’s a big-time under the radar running back. Pryor flashes very good vision and shows the ability to weave in and out of traffic, once he hits the crease he has the speed to take it to the house, shows a good stiff arm and consistently runs through contact possessing very good balance and leg drive. Talented player whose stock is on the rise.
