These players are all talented and have college football level ability. Some of these players have a few offers and with the help of big seasons I can forsee all of them playing college football at some level.
Malachi Toney, WR- American Heritage High c/o 26
5’10 165lbs
Toney was a big part of a high powered passing attack that led American Heritage to a victory last week. The talented freshman registered 6 catches for 103 yards and averaged over 17 yards per reception. A smart receiver that does a good job finding holes in zone, shows good acceleration and has a second gear to get behind the defense. He’s a player on the rise and a receiver coaches need to get familiar with in 2022.
Chase Jarrett Chase Jarrett 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Plant | 2024 FL , SS- Plant High c/o 24
6’0 180lbs
Jarrett was outstanding last week against Wharton High who is one of the best teams in the state. He tallied 12 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 3 PBU from his safety position. Smart player (3.85 GPA) that trusts his eyes and gets downhill quickly, possesses good closing burst and flashes explosiveness as a tackler, has the speed/ability to play sideline to sideline. Could end up being one of the best defensive backs in the Tampa area this season.
Judah Montecalvo, LB/ATH- Merritt Island Christian c/o 23
6’3 200lbs
Montecalvo was a first team All-State selection in 2021 and has picked up this season right where he left off. He plays on both sides of the ball and had an outstanding first game registering 10 tackles, one sack, and one int while also contributing on offense with 93 total yards and two touchdowns. Athletic player that’s equally effective against the run or pass, shows good range in the open field. Under the radar player that has the ability to play at some level in college.
Brendyn Colella, QB- Zephyrhills High c/o 24
6’1 180lbs
Colella is a talented player with a lot of weapons to spread the ball around to at Zephyrhills High this season. He had an outstanding first game going 8 for 10 for 346 yards and four touchdown passes! The talented sophomore plays with a lot of poise showing the ability to climb the pocket, not panic and deliver strikes, can spray the ball around at all three levels of the field, possessing good arm strength and accuracy. Will be one of the best quarterbacks in Pasco County this season.
