Mateaki Helu Mateaki Helu 6'0" | 200 lbs | ATH Stansbury | 2023 State UT || Athlete || 6’0 || 200 || Stansbury High School || 2023
Helu plays running back, and outside linebacker but could be successful at multiple positions. The 6’0 athlete has both the speed and shiftiness to shine at receiver and as a returner. He does a great job recognizing plays before they happen and can quickly cover up ground when in coverage, meaning he could also be a lockdown corner. In addition, Helu is one of the hardest-hitting players in the state who accelerates through contact for the kind of tackles that get a big reaction from the crowd. In the open field, he is extremally hard to contain and, when on defense, can track down opposing receivers and backs in space. Wherever Helu plays at the next level, there is no doubt that he will leave a lasting impact.
Pokaiaua Haunga Pokaiaua Haunga 5'11" | 200 lbs | ATH Timpview | 2023 State UT || Athlete || 5’11 || 200 || Timpview High School || 2023
Haunga can reach speeds few others can in the state or country. The 5’11 athlete has crazy acceleration that allows him to get by defensive backs in the blink of an eye. In addition, his ability to create separation makes him one of the state’s premier deep threats. Haunga can do more than break away from defenders, though, as he also has an elite vertical. As a result, he can easily out-leap defenders for tough catches. Haunga has mainly been used as a receiver and running back but would have no problem playing in the secondary with his elite athletic tools. His impressive speed and ability to track the ball make Haunga a threat every time he’s on the field.
Miles Hall Miles Hall 6'2" | 195 lbs | ATH Skyline | 2023 State UT || Athlete || 6’2 || 195 || Skyline High School || 2023
Hall is every football player’s nightmare, an athletic freak who loves to hit. Hall approaches the line of scrimmage and ball carries with violent intentions as one of the hardest hitters in the state. Hall plays receiver and safety at Skyline but could play either spot in college. As a receiver, Hall possesses elite speed, and once he gets the ball, he is one of the shiftiest players in the state. The 6’2 athlete can also track balls well and make tough catches with defensive backs draped all over him. He has excellent footwork he uses to run clean routes and tiptoe along the sideline. At safety, not only does Hall love to hit but with his expectational speed and feel for the game, he can create turnovers by making timely plays on the ball
Hezekiah Anahu- Ambrosio || Athlete || 5’11 || 190 || Timpview High School || 2023
The second Timpview player is arguably the best blitzing linebacker in the state. He explodes off the snap with a lightning-quick first step, and once he reaches the quarterback doesn’t slow down, smoking the opposing signal caller. Ambrosio possesses true sideline-to-sideline quickness and the physicality to make any play when he reaches ball carriers. The 5’11 athlete is also strong in coverage; whether he’s reading quarterbacks’ eyes or manning up, Ambrosio does his job to a T. He also plays running back, has excellent vision, and makes cuts in a split second. Ambrosio will be a weapon at the next level no matter where he is deployed.
Jacob Sersansie Jacob Sersansie 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Pine View | 2023 State UT || Athlete || 6’1 || 190 || Pine View High School || 2023
Sersansie flies all over the field, making big plays and hits a plenty. He uses his elite speed and play recognition at the corner spot to break up passes and generate tackles for loss. The 6’1 athlete does a great job watching his man and the quarterback, allowing him to turn errand throws into interceptions. Sersansie possesses elite hands, which could make him a good receiver at the next. His technique and footwork are textbook, and there’s no doubt he would be an elite route runner as a receiver. Few can match his athleticism and feel for the game making him one of the state’s elite game changers.
