Luke Hansen, Senior, Roncalli
Luke Hansen is a smooth runner who can use fluid cuts to evade defenders. That style enabled him to have a big night against Southport. Roncalli strolled to a 48-7 victory. Hansen was dominant. He ran 26 times for a whopping 335 yards and five touchdowns. Hansen averaged nearly 13 yards per carry as he wore down the Southport defense. Luke Hansen has started in an explosive way this year. Look for him to keep it rolling in Week 2.
Jordan Bradley, 5’10, 185 pounds, Senior, Calumet New Tech
Calumet New Tech’s offense exploded for 56 points as they cruised past Bowman Academy 56-20. On the road, running the ball effectively is essential. To do that, New Tech leaned on their senior leader at running back this past Friday and Jordan Bradley stepped up. Bradley racked up 287 yards. New Tech will need to rely on Bradley to be the driving force for their offense. Scouts need to keep an eye on what Bradley accomplishes throughout the year.
Robert Lamar Robert Lamar 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Clarksville | 2023 State IN , 5’10, Senior, Clarksville
Robert Lamar Robert Lamar 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Clarksville | 2023 State IN has had an outstanding high school career at Clarksville. So, it is unsurprising that he has carried that impactfulness into his senior year. Lamar put on a show as Clarksville took apart Scottsburg 41-14. Lamar toted the rock 34 times for 266 yards. He found paydirt a quartet of times. Lamar added one reception for 20 yards. He also plays outside linebacker, and he made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball as well. Lamar posted ten solo tackles and a dozen in total. He had a trio of tackles-for-loss with one sack and one forced fumble.
Paul DeWitt, 5’9, Senior, LaVille
LaVille were empathic in Week 1 as they shutout Bremen 42-0. The defense was outstanding in holding Bremen off the board, but as 42 points would suggest, the offense was clicking as well. Leading the offense was Senior Paul DeWitt. DeWitt posted an extremely impressive 235 rushing yards on just eleven carries. He averaged over 21 yards per run. Add in his pair of touchdowns and you have all the ingredients for a career night.
Anthony Schuh Anthony Schuh RB Triton | 2024 State IN , 6’1, 215 pounds, Junior, Triton
Physical runner Anthony Schuh Anthony Schuh RB Triton | 2024 State IN controlled the game for Triton. Triton blanked South Central 49-0 in their season-opener. Schuh needed just 8 carries to compile 219 rushing yards. As impressive as those numbers are, they become even more astounding when you see that half of his carries went for touchdowns. Unsurprisingly, Schuh was named Player of the Game. If Schuh can maintain anything near his current pace, then it will be a fun season to watch.
