Yasin is the #1 rated RB in the PrepRedzone 2024 rankings and a power 5 running back all the way. He has elite size already standing at 6′ and weight 205 pounds with a great combination of long speed and initial burst. Yasin has the footwork to make moves in the box to make linebackers and he can plant his foot and get up field in a hurry. He shows good leg drive on film and also has he unique ability to change his aiming point while making long runs, which disrupts tackling angles for DB trying to prevent him from scoring. It’s a trait I rarely see in such a young back. He ran for over 1000 yards last season against elite competition including a 213 yard, 2 touchdown effort against Delbarton last season. Yasin already has more than a dozen Power 5 offers from teams like Ole Miss, Penn State, Boston College, Rutgers and Michigan.
Zaimer Wright Zaimer Wright 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Sayreville | 2024 State NJ , Sayerville War Memorial
I’ve been impressed with Zamier for a while now, as he’s the type of talent you just can’t keep off the field. He doesn’t need a lot of room, exploding through small cracks in the defense for long runs. Zamier is a workhorse for his team as well averaging 24 carries per game, scoring 25 TDs running for over 200 yards twice in 2021. While speed and quickness are his forte, he shows great leg drive as well and can be counted on in short yardage situations. Zamier led his class in rushing yards with over 1400 rushing yards and an impressive 25 TDs for the Bombers last season.
Elijah Jennings Elijah Jennings 5'8" | 160 lbs | ATH Pennsauken | 2024 State NJ , Pennsauken
If you google great speed to the outside, you find a video of Elijah hitting the corner on defenses. Hes a dynamic runner as he has great leg drive for tough yards in the middle and is a threat as a receiver out of the backfield. I love his vision. He only needs a crease and is particularly dangerous on the counter, picking his way through the middle of defenses and running to daylight to the tune of 1341 yards and 18 total touchdowns in the 2021 season. Elijah already has multiple D1 offers from teams like Boston College, Ole Miss, Temple and Costal Carolina.
Jake Croce Jake Croce 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Point Pleasant Boro | 2024 State NJ , Point Pleasant Boro
Jake is a powerful North South runner that is a weapon all over the field. Solidly build at 6′, 200lbs, he’s an upright runner who regularly runs through tackles with leg drive, balance and a nice stiff arm for yards after contact. He has the kind of nimble footwork that makes defenders glance off him while he accelerates past them for big gains leading to 1100 yards rushing and 12 TDs. Jake is also a nice receiver out of the backfield, giving the Pleasant Boro running game that much needed balance for their Wing T offense.
Rashawn Marshall Rashawn Marshall 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Weequahic | 2024 State NJ , Weequahic
Rashawn is a positively slippery running back. With great balance and footwork he’s able to weave through defenses and make sure tackles become misses. He has the kind of vision that you can’t teach, seemingly setting up the second move before the first. As you can imagine, this style of running lends itself very well to the return game and Rashawn is very dangerous in any open field situation. The surprising thing about his game is you expect the speed and agility, but he also has great leg drive, giving him multiple ways to generate extra yardage. To go along with averaging 9 yards a carry for 610 yards as only a sophomore, Rashawn also put in work on defense with 5 sacks, 9 tackles for loss and a pick 6 last season.
Jordan Moorer Jordan Moorer 5'11" | 200 lbs | ATH Dwight-Morrow | 2024 NJ , Paramus Catholic
At 6’0, 190 pounds as only a sophomore Jordan will get looks from college scouts at multiple positions. He’s fast with it too. His Hudl has him running a 11.1 100 meter dash and averaging 9.5 yards per carry last year he shows that kind of break away speed on film. As you can imagine, with that size and speed he’s probably a load to bring down, and he is, running through arm tackles with ease. Jordan will be brining his talents to the Paramus Catholic Paladins for the 2022 season, and we’ll be watching his future very carefully.
