Last fall, the Panthers finished with a 10-3 record and a birth in the Division I Regional Semifinal. Led by Head Coach Ken Winters, the Panthers bring back a talented core group of prospects and should make yet another deep playoff run this season. Two matchups to keep an eye on are; week three at Anthony Wayne and week eight at Central Catholic. Both should be fantastic ball games between two talented squads. With a tough schedule featuring a plethora of playoff opponents, one thing is for certain, Whitmer will be battled tested come playoff time.
WR: Donte Moore Donte Moore 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Whitmer | 2023 OH , 6’1″ 195, SR
- A proficient deep ball tracker that can stretch the field.
- Ridiculous body control in traffic.
- Has a natural feel for finding the holes in zone coverage.
OLB: Napoleon Jemison Napoleon Jemison 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Whitmer | 2025 State OH , 6’2″ 185, SO
- Consistently makes plays when left unblocked on the backside.
- Can play out of a two or three-point.
- Capable of holding his ground in the run game against much larger offensive tackles.
- Was a special teams ace in 2021.
OL: Derrick Kanthak, 6’4″ 320, SR
- Plays with an attitude.
- Is always looking for more work on the second level.
- Forward body lean and strength can be overwhelming for interior defensive linemen.
QB: Brady Ford Brady Ford 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Whitmer | 2025 State OH , 6’1″ 185, SO
- Plays with such a calm demeanor.
- Feet stay quiet and are in sync with a sudden upper half.
- Shows impressive touch on all three levels.
RB: Taron Crawford, 5’7″ 175, SR
- A jitterbug with some electricity as a runner.
- Uses his natural leverage to his advantage to sneak through tight windows.
- Explodes out of his cuts to kick it into top gear.
DE: Domanick Rodebaugh, 6′ 200, SR
- A punishing tackler behind the line of scrimmage.
- Quite slippery when engaged.
- Fights against reach blocks on the edge.
LB: Jasen Kelly, 6’1″ 195, JR
- Closes ground like a cheetah.
- Plays the game with an unmatched physicality.
- A ton of positional versatility in 2021.
WR: Devin Morgan, 6’3″ 190, SR
- Looks to be a major mismatch working out of the slot.
- Is a redzone playmaker who can make something happen after the catch.
- Can turn a quick game reception into a chunk play.
- Size gives smaller defenders issues.
OL: Mikey O’Brien, 6’5″ 275, JR
- Has a Power-Five type frame.
- Hands are like cinder blocks.
- Pad level stays low while he rolls his hips on contact.
- Has some twitch out of his stance.
WR: Martin Shannon, 5’11” 160, SR
- Impressive speed once he gets rolling.
- Can climb the ladder & go get the football.
- Is a fearless route runner going over the middle.
OL: Carter Lowe Carter Lowe 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Whitmer | 2025 State OH , 6’5″ 290, SO
- Has ideal size and the movement skills to go with it.
- Strength was on full display at the lower levels.
- Shows superb body control for a big man.
