Continue ReadingThis class is full of studs ready to make a name for themselves. Some will be playing junior still, but some will step up to the plate and play big boy varsity ball. It is their time to show off the skills they have. Here are some guys that have been impressive this summer. I expect them to have a big year.
Ashton Moore Ashton Moore 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB St Joseph Catholic | 2026 MS , 6-0 190, LB, Alpharetta
Ashton has left the muddy waters of MS and has relocated in Georgia. He is playing at Alpharetta this year. Alpharetta is getting a stud of a LB. Ashton has the ability to go down as one of the highest ranked LBs in his class by the time he graduates. He has a wide range that he can cover on the field. He is a guy that has the ability to play on the inside or outside. He is going to be able to drop back and be a big factor in their zone defense. He has the ability to shed blocks and get to RBs. He has some good speed and will continue to physically grow over these next three years. The way he attacks the line of scrimmage going downhill is very tenacious. Folks are anxious to see this young man pan out.
Tristan Burns, 5-9 150, WR/DB, Adams Country Christian
Tristan has a lot of talent. He looks great in his uniform. The kid has a lot of athleticism. He also has a good QB who is going to put the ball in the right place for him to make plays. He plays slot receiver and he will give defenders the blues. Tristan has a lot to offer on offense. He turns into a RB after he catches the ball. He isn’t where he will be with his route running, but he knows how to get open. He is the type of player who will make sure he continues to better his route running throughout his career. The more he improves that part of his game the more dangerous he will be on offense. He has some great ball skills. He started off his varsity career catching a head ball touchdown in their first game. He goes up and get it at its highest point. These type of plays are going to help him get his name out there. He will probably be 6-0 by the time his senior year. Kid has a lot of potential.
Aiden Knox Aiden Knox 6'0" | 160 lbs | ATH Clinton | 2026 MS , 5-11 165, WR/DB, Clinton
Aiden runs a 4.49 40 and a 10.98 in the 100m dash. He has good hands and can pick up yards after the catch. He is obviously a beast with the fade or go route. It’s the shorter routes Aiden is working to improve. I love that about young kids. It’s great to see guys like him wanting to be better. We know he can fly and put up quick points. Aiden is showing that as he progresses he will be a possession receiver as well. He is going to be a guy that has a lot of highlights from this junior varsity season. We won’t see his game a lot during varsity this year, but he is one to keep up with. He has one of the things you can’t teach.
Demarious Pittman, 6-0 155, ATH, Calhoun City
Demarious is very dangerous on the football field. He will play with the varsity for Calhoun City. This guy knows how to come in and lay a mean blow. That’s the part of his game that stands out. He is a very aggressive guy that doesn’t mind laying the wood. Right now it is too early to determine what position that he will play at the next level. It is very evident that he is going to be a true stud for his team. He is a long lanky guy that has a lot of maturing to do in his body. His heart is very big and he plays the game at 100 mph. Keep up with him.
