They finished the season 8-4 and capitalized on their momentum up until the second round of the playoffs. The Tigers had a decent retention rate from its starters last year to its starters in 2023. Based on this they are certain to make yet another playoff run in an attempt to come out 4A Champion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Notable Returning Athletes</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='106309' first='Jamarious' last='Brown'], </strong>6-4 255, DE Class of 2023 #2<br>Jamarious has been a playmaking phenom ever since his first start as a freshmen. Every year he has grown in size and ability which is why he is one of Moss Point's top Returning athletes. It is also important to note that he is ranked as #4 overall and # 1 Defensive Linemen in the State of Mississippi. It is evident that he has worked tremendously hard to get there. The consistency of Brown's play has allowed him to rack up the most tackles on his team with 5 sacks and 16 TFLs for the season. In his senior year [player_tooltip player_id='106309' first='Jamarious' last='Brown'] will be looking to put the exclamation mark on his highschool career as he moves on to play at the D1 colligate level. A player of his caliber is certainly someone to note.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Lyntavius Feazell</strong>, 5-7 157 RB, WR, DB Class of 2023 #4<br>Lyntavius was the relief back for an 1,000 + yard rusher last year at Moss Point which lead to him being a little hidden. While Feazell didn't receive the majority of the carries last year, his productivity and hard work up to this point has earned his the right to be the main ball carrier for the Tigers. Despite his lack of opportunites Lyntavius averaged over 6 yards per carry proving his reliability as a back. There are no questions that #4 will get more carries in 2023 but there is a question of where his ceiling may be. If Lyntavius can still be a productive running back while receiving a majority of the calls he will certainly be a great prospect to keep an eye on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='340737' first='Kaleb' last='Raston'],</strong> 6-0 220 MLB, Class of 2023 #5<br>[player_tooltip player_id='340737' first='Kaleb' last='Raston'] is a mean, downhill flying linebacker who keeps offenses in check. On every play one can see Raston commanding the defense, reading his keys and making tackles left and right. As a junior Kaleb hauled in over 60 tackles with multiple tackles for a loss. It is safe to say that Kaleb has matured more as a player and leader this offseason which will in turn spur others around him towards greatness. These types of athletes are valuable in many ways and are vital to the productivity of a defense. It will be interesting to note how Kaleb's presence in a game impacts the outcome of the game itself. As a sophomore Taboris earned a starting spot on varsity and managed incredible well for an underclassmen. His tenacity and instinct for the ball allowed him to record 55 tackles last fall at the cornerback position. Charles regularly does an excellent job in coverage and an even better job at tackling the ball carrier. As Taboris continues to develop so will his value to the team and as a prospect.
